Tracking down running board cap

Hello,

I'm trying to track down a replacement cap for my running board. Part Number KB3B-16N452-A.

Bought the truck with it half-hanging off and now it's fully disconnected from the bolt holding it on the running board. I left a message with my local Ford dealer, but wondering if there's any other great places to look. I think this is a little harder because it's usually the full running board as a part, not the caps.

I thought about watching E-Bay, as people might be selling damaged running boards for parts, but not having luck there.

type the pn in google and see who shows up. thats what i do when searching for hard to find parts. just hit every link and see if they actually show its available

Sorry, should have mentioned that. Weirdly, everything that shows up is Canadian?

that is odd. and none of hte ford dealers in austin have replied? we have a pretty decent dealer here in corpus, sames ford. otherwise, we have autonation. i am not sure how autonation is because i get all the parts and recalls done at sames because i have been going to them since they were crosstown ford, back in 94/95

KB3B-16N452-A was not available from Ford when I did a search. I damaged mine and had to order 2019-2023 Ranger Running Board End Cap KB3Z16A454A. The number stamped on the part is KB3B-16N452-A, but depending on the revision of the cap, you will need to modify or remove the center tab that slides into the running board to make it work. Removing the tab does not affect the fit or function. 6 gen running boards have a narrow center tab as shown.

I am sure Ford is buying the running boards from some aftermarket manufacturer. You may find a cap if you can figure out who actually made the board. Look for any markings, etc. On the bottom of the board and then work google.
