I have a new RR with about 1,500 miles on it. I've randomly been getting a trailer brake module fault message. Curious if anybody else has seen that problem and if/how it was fixed?

Thanks

I got it when i washed my truck to begin with. Spraying the hose over that area got water into the trailer wiring harness receptacle and it always triggered that warning when water got inside.

I now don't spray water straight on the cap when washing the truck and I'm more careful in that area and haven't had the problem since

Following this. I just started getting Trailer Brake Module Fault warning on startup this week. First time I had my trailer attached but using the 4-pin connector (trailer does not have brakes). Roads were wet at the time. I have since been getting it even without the trailer attached. I did go to the car wash before parking the trailer so that may have added to the issue.

I've gotten it several times, mine is a 11/24 build, just picked it up 4 weeks ago, was in the showroom floor. I got the fault literally driving it off the lot and then a few other times, I haven't really looked into the issue yet but will check the plug cover for water intrusion as I've taken it through a touchless car wash several times already and we had massive downpours for 8 hours on an out of state trip, so lots of water exposure.

I have a 2024 with 5500 miles and I have been getting this fault occasionally for several months now. I get it when it is dry out and cannot associate it with car wash, water intrusion. Truck is fantastic, but these electrical gremlins (parking sensor faults/ trailer module) are disappointing.

And the speakers are terrible.

Same regarding the trailer break module fault. I'm guessing it's a CAN bus issue (Controller Area Network). Possibly CAN Open standard…somebody on the software team didn't de-bug the comms Object in the code!!! Could also be a termination issue on the bus's differential pair. Either way, it's a Ford issue and mine is also intermittent (thought it was water related at first, last month has proved me wrong!).

Also, have you tried adjusting the base, treb and mid on the audio settings? most people prefer a little more treb and base (3/4 way to the right on the slider) and a little less mid-range (1/4 of the way to the left) on the setting slider.

I have the same issue. It doesn't seem to cause any problem so will have the dealer look at it when I take it in for service.
