I think you're supposed to run premium fuel in a stock 2.3L.

you can run 87 on the standard 2.3L Ecoboost or on premium which gives better performance.

Recalling early dyno runs depicting Ranger made 240 RWHP on 87 E10 and 255 RWHP on 93 E10. I have the FRPP Ecoboost Tune running 93 E0, as its available here in Piedmont North Carolina.

I ran the same tune on my 2019 Ranger, and it made an incredible difference in the performance of that vehicle. The only other bolt on for that vehicle was an AWE exhaust, and I swear that truck was more responsive, I.e.felt faster, than my 2024 Raptor.

So no, that won’t work.

I’m sure the Ranger FP tune isn’t far behind…

‘so if they keep the same tune on the Ranger, you’re looking at 75HP and 45TQ less than a RR that weighs in at around 900 lbs more. Yeah, the difference in performance, especially at the low end, does not make the RR look like the champion We want it to be. I really hope that FORD comes out with the tune for the RR at the same time, so I don’t get my ass handed to me by a bunch of tuned XLT’s. ?
