I just got the Turbosmart Dual Port BOV (TS-0223-1096) and was going to install it, but the instructions have me confused. I already emailed Turbosmart but its been a few days and I haven't heard back yet so hoping someone here can help.

The instructions reference a flat part on the mounting flange that they refer to as the "pumb back orientation indicator" and this needs to align with the plumb back pathway. The issue is that the flange on my BOV doesn't have this indicator and the flange is completely round. I can see the plumb back vent on the underside though.

My guess is that this indicator only appears on the full plumb back version and not the dual port version but that isn't specified in the directions. Can someone confirm that?

Does it matter which orientation the dual port valve is installed?

Should the plumb back vent (visible on the underside, but not the flange) align with something?

I haven't taken my OEM BOV off yet, so maybe this is all obvious once that is removed, but hoping to make this as seamless as possible. Seems relatively straightforward otherwise.

Thanks!

From my understanding the BOV can only mount one way (three bolts will only line up a certain way) and it doesn’t matter which way the BOV rotates. You can point the vent up or down, it doesn’t matter. I have mine with the wiring loom facing forward to mimic the OEM BOV. Pic attached

I think I understand and while the three holes look equally spaced if they are even slightly different it would only align a certain way. Only confusion is that mine doesn’t seem to rotate. Anyways I think I have my answer but I’ll reply if it isn’t clear once I’m under the hood.

The base can rotate before you tighten it down - once it's tightened the valve is locked in. It's a really super simple install - don't over think it and refer to this install video from these legends:
