I had my exhaust custom done. Half the price of buying a one online. And as you said they didn’t make it for the 24+. I have the 2.3 and i like the look. I went with black tips.

I paid $300 for the custom exhaust. I did buy the muffler before hand and bought it with me, $60. The shop had tips like i wanted, which is included in the 300. I feel like it wasn’t a bad deal. It’s not top of the line stainless steel but I’m fine with that. The guy worked for a bigger company that did exhaust, wheels, tire, etc. When the company changed hands, he bought his own shop. He said he has done custom exhaust for over 30 years. So i gave him a try.

I wish one of the big exhaust makers would come out with this dual setup, it must be a custom shop job, yes it's a 5th Gen but could also work currently.

I agree. I really like the look of dual exhaust. Looks way better than the stock exhaust. Like i have read on here before, it seems more focus is on the RR. Which i somewhat understand, but at the same time the regular Rangers have a pretty good size following. But if you find someone that’ll do it custom, it’ll probably be cheaper and just as good.

dude, that a great price. eastern nc, anywhere near jacksonville? since i am heading there at the end of april for a wedding, i may just look up your guy since yours came out so awesome.

I guess technically it’s north eastern NC. Hertford County. The guy is just across the VA line in a town called Franklin VA. It’s about 40 minutes from me.

Education please... what are primary advantages of duel exhaust? Any unintended consequences likely due to making this mod to the2.7 engine?

No advantages, the 2.3t is already making 270hp/310tq. It's exhaust is optimized. Going from a 1-1-1 system to a 1-1-2 isn't going to do anything.

The Raptor has a 2-1-2 exhaust, the dual pipes don't do anything for the Raptor either.

EDIT: the 2.7t v6 is also a 2-1-1 and optimized, changing to 2-1-2 won't give it a performance advantage. If you want more power get the ProCal tune, or another tuners ECU mapping program.

Fully independent exhaust banks with a X-pipe would give you more power but less than an ECU tune.

I went to two places (only 2 in town, really) and the first place said i had to leave for twp days because they had to custom make the system. And they were already booked for today 750-800 bucks.

The second place said 2 hours and they could do it now. And military discount so 650.

We pulled it on the rsck snd i showed them the pics from this thread, they said got it. And i went and test drove a ranger raptor. When i walked back to the shop, it was done
