Thanks. How do I know where to trim the bed liner to match the holes?
If I remember correctly, it was a tedious process. I did this:
1. Put the bolt in the hole and cover the head of the bolt with silver sharpie.
2. Push the bed liner onto the head of the bolt so the silver sharpie transfers to the bed liner.
3. Flex the bed liner away and drill a small pilot hole in the middle of the silver sharpie circle.
4. Put the bed liner back into position and put a drill bit into the pilot hole. Stick it through to ensure your pilot hole lines up with the bolt hole.
5. Flex bed liner away and widen the hole with a larger drill bit so the bolt can now go through and you don't mess up the bolt hole.

To install the Undercover Swing case Tool Box from either Real Truck or Ford, which is the same product. I guess the tiedowns have to be removed. My Ranger came with spray in liner, haven't tried to turn screws out yet, but see it has been difficult. Will try with some heat to see what happens. I like the idea of this option to store tools etc...Thoughts on getting tie down screws out without stripping etc....

get the proper bit. its a T40 Plus bit. a t40 will strip them. use a utility knife and score around the head, then use a oring pick and remove the liner from the bolts. loosen the bolt. when it starts "seizing" tighten it. rinse and repeat till its out. i stripped 3 reinstalling them using a t40 torx. when I switched to a t40+ all was well. a t40 bit will fit a t40+ bolt. but a t40+ bit will not fit a t40

An FYI to this post: The Ranger Factory tie down bolts are installed from the Factory with RED Loctite!

Red Loctite is as PERMINATE as you can get without welding! Nowhere is this mentioned in anyone's (Ford or Real Truck) directions! The only way to remove a fastener set with Red Loctite is with heat.

That being said: I stripped the heads off all 4 bolts in my first attempt to remove them. Before I attempted my second attempt, I ordered a set of bolts through the Ford Pass App on my phone. When they arrived is when I saw the factory applied Red Loctite.
It took a propane torch 2 bottles of propane along with a good pair of Vice Grips to remove the damn bolts. Basically 4 hours of labor.

Dang, sorry you experienced that! Guess I was lucky and my T40 bolts came off fine. Putting them on is a different story because the torque spec is insane and I rounded out one of the bolt heads from trying to reach that torque spec. I said screw that and tightened it best I could. Also, the directions on my swing case said to use galvanic compound on the bolt thread to prevent rusting. Probably isn't needed but only as a precaution.

I installed a similar case in my Limited+, the one I installed was brand KRAKEN. It took me 2 hours because I was a little hard to properly align it.. The only thing to complain about now that I have the case installed, is that I used to use a bed divider (not sure if that i the correct name). to avoid bags, etc to move or to go to the end of the bed when I brake.. and now, with the box, I can use it anymore. Did anyone do something to avoid that issue?
this is the bed divisor I mentioned and the box.

Yes. It comes out very easy.

My install issue was removing the tie down bracket bolts. One head broke off leaving the bolt in the hole. Still trying to figure out how to get that out.
Does it come off easy enough for just anyone to walk by and remove it?
