UPDATE ON 2025 RANGER RAPTOR 3.0 PRO CAL TUNE??

Is there a suggestion on how to avoid this while also maintaining warranty? Mine comes this week, I installed the FP software over the weekend and Im sure I can figure it out without paying someone… but warranty.

Also, what is the impact and materiality of the updates and do you get email notifications or anything when they happen?

If you’re absolutely concerned about maintaining warranty, you can coordinate with an ASE certified shop to upload the tune for you. The installation process is super simple and shouldn’t take any longer than 40 minutes at most.

Regarding updates, I’d recommend plugging in your pro cal to your pc and checking for updates every quarter or so. You won’t get a prompt or any notifications, so plugging it in and checking every once in a while is your best bet.

Congrats!
Your FP tune is now registered to some tech in your dealers service dept.
You are now 100% dependent on him for any future tune updates! (For the 5G Ranger I believe there was 8 or 9)
I hope paying for 2 hours of labor was worth that!

Yup, they tried doing this with mine. "Luckily" they bricked it and needed a new voucher number. Now its registered to my account.

Haven't seen a single case where the FP Warranty has been needed and called into play. If any issues do come about, it will probably be much after the 3 Year 36k miles range.
