I know it’s a little thing, but was washing my truck the other day and every time i sprayed near the front door handle (passenger and driver) the locks would engage/disengage. the key was in my pocket. It was tripping the locks a lot, until I put my keys in the garage. Seems a bit touchy.

I noticed this the other night when I was washing mine. Talk about annoying.

I've experienced this across manufacturers. Very common behavior for keyless entry as the water is a conductor to the signal.

This is a new one to me. Never happens in my CTS-V so I was caught off guard.

Happens to every touch-unlock (keyless) car I’ve ever owned across 4 different brands. I leave the key inside the vehicle while washing.

I've washed and tumble dried both of my keys, at this point, and they still work fine. 🤣

It's interesting that water spray near the vehicle would cause issues.

In my own experience it only happens when the water sprays on the handle area. The touch sensors are capacitive and water in your body is the main thing capacitive sensors detect, so I have assumed that’s the cause.

Same issue here with my keyless vehicles. Technology these days.
