Picked up a bottle of 303 aerospace protectant. Smells like armor all, but didn’t seem as oily. Definitely didn’t leave a slippery feel like armor all either, so I even used it on the plastic on my running boards.

Thanks AzScorpion! Gotta trust a dude that lives in the desert when it comes to UV protection. My wife and I lived outside of Phoenix for a handful of years...the sun’s no joke there

What do you use to apply the 303? Just a microfibre towel?

That's what I use. I use it on almost anything that isn't metal or glass.

Anytime Bud! I started using this way back when I lived on the east coast. My F 150 bed rail caps were turning gray and someone turned me onto this, been using it on everything ever since. With this stuff less actually works better, you don't need to soak the area just a light application. It might feel a little greasy at first but once it soaks in and drys you don't have that slimy feel like Armor All. Living out here was a good test for this, the sun is brutal here and deteriorates everything that's untreated.

Yes I use a microfiber towel. On my tonneau cover I'll spray the cover but for the dash and steering wheel I'll spray the towel. They also come in wipes too so it's easier to wipe down your dash and steering wheel. The wipes are nice for doing small areas like inside your door pockets and up against the dash by the windshield.

Thanks. Does stuff stick to it or does the dash stay nice and dry after?

Stays dry with a satin sheen. I live in a big sandbox here (it's really dusty) and the stuff works great. Now that t's nice out and I have my windows open I'm getting more dust inside my truck but the wipes are good for in between touch ups.

Hi Dave,

Hmmm...wonder if I should 303 my tortoise...when he comes into the house he is so dusty I have a duster. He crawls into the house and parks until I retrieve the duster that we keep, just for him...Seems to like the dusting off!

Hi Phil

I just had an idea.

You could build a little tortoise door for him, kind of like a doggie door, and have a 303 wipe attached to the top that dusts him off. Then he will be nice and shiny for you when he comes in and no more dusting. :)

Hi Dave,

Tito is very clever and has figured out how to open the sliding screen door on his own...These Sonora Desert Tortoise are very intelligent. and clever. They figure out how things work. Little 303 pads at the bottom of the door might be a good idea!

I guess I know what Phil is doing today. Lol. My cat loves the lint roller. Maybe try one of those while you’re at it?

Maybe you should apply a ceramic coat to your buddy’s shell

Those who use Meguiar's Hybrid Ceramic spray-on wax Should watch this video it really surprised me:

Thanks for posting that. I’m not surprised by his Meguiar’s results. I tried it and I wasn’t impressed at all. I think I’ll see if I can find the Turtle Wax stuff!
