Weird Discoloration on Trim Piece

I've had this prob with my other vehicles. Usually happens when certain waxes/polishes hit the plastics. I use a lot of Chemical Guys stuff. Good company with tons of options.
I use this to restore some of the issues....

It does look sun or chemically bleached. No clue what caused it but Forever Black Truck Bed Liner Gel will fix it. Amazon has it on sale right now for $13 USD. Wear latex gloves, it's tough to wash it off.

Will it black out white letters on tires?
