As you should have. The destination charge on these trucks is $1895. The vehicle should be delivered in pristine condition.

That's not necessarily true. I was sideswiped, so I called the police. It was very minor damage not requiring insurance. When I went to sell the vehicle, it showed up on the CARFAX report.

Police report there being the operative factor, if you had done nothing or did everything on your own it wouldn't have showed (obviously). I'm guessing it was a bigger city or they did a state crash report, because if neither, they wouldn't be submitting data anywhere Carfax could get it.

Neither party was ticketed, but there was a police report filed on the incident. The guy who bought my car was in Tulsa, Okla., and mentioned "the accident in Wethersfield, Connecticut on mm/dd." The mishap occurred in my town which was about 20 miles from Wethersfield. I found it odd that Wethersfield, the city for Connecticut's DMV, was recorded as the city where it occurred.

Picked it up today. The chip repair looks perfect.

Now to start on my wish list.

Back before ford adjusted the tail lights, mine had the tail light paint chip on arrival. Dealer repainted the entire rear quarter and new sticker. Never showed up on carfax.
