7 inches of the white stuff here in the Midwest, immediately took it to a parking lot, 2H, traction off to get my "snow" feel down. Then to slippery mode in 4A and it was a champ! Just remember people, just because you can accelerate well in an AWD/4WD vehicle doesn't mean you can stop like normal, give yourself time and room for error. Over 5K with this so far and very happy.

Agreed, these trucks are beasts in the snow.

Something interesting that I noticed is that the stability control doesn't seem to do anything if you're in the normal driving mode and trying to throttle out of a slide. Almost got myself into some trouble on an icy road a few weeks back.

I read somewhere that it only kicks in under braking which is wild since I learned to drive with the brake as the last resort in a slide.

About 2" of dry powder on top of a 1/2" ice base here. The Ranger is still in the garage.

Absolute beast through the snow, no complaints (it snowed two more feet after this pic)

I agree, played around with just drifting corners a bit in 2WD, and then was amazed at how planted it felt in the AWD setting, accelerating away from corners. But you are so correct, they all slide into braking and cornering situations, regardless of how many drive wheels you've got going.
After a while I came back across tracks I'd made earlier.

Took our neighbors out in a snow storm to grab dinner. Smiles all around as we drifted around corners and the Raptor in slippery mode did a great job of keeping us in line.
