Popping/clunking sound. Thought it was a big rig in front of me until I got past it. Then I thought I might have been dragging something (e.g. traffic cone) but checked the camera and didn't see anything. It happened 40 minutes into a drive and lasted two minutes total. Then was fine for the remainder of the 10 minute drive at highway speeds. Lug nuts are torqued to 100lb ft. Passenger side strut tower was noticeably warmer than the driver's side, though the exhaust routed closer to the passenger side. Noticed a faint burnt rubber smell when I turned my truck off. Took it back out for a quick drive and didn't hear a thing. I even purposely ran over the base of a traffic drum.

Edit: the video won't upload ?

Here is the video

Edit: I checked the Ford technician website since I have access and it gives me two codes: engine misfire detected on startup (P0316) and random/multiple cylinder misfire detected (P0300).

I'm supposed to be leaving on a 2,700 mile road trip on Saturday...

Could be bad gas. Id drive it around some more and se if the issue continues and also see if you can have the dealer look at it.

I did fill up last night (had 1/3 of a tank) at a gas station I don't normally use. My plan during lunch is to put some good gas in it and drive it. Maybe swing by the auto parts store and pick up some seafoam

very negative thing said about seafoam you have others that swear by it. Probably the most notable pro seafoam user is Project Farm.
I have used Seafoam for decades with no issue. There is a bit of finesse in using it as a upper intake cleaner under vacuum and not douching it to the point of hydrolocking an engine.

I'd personally won't use Seafoam. Had a couple bad experiences with it in small aircooled engines. I like the Lucas better.

Update: while I haven't experienced any more issues while driving, P0300 and P0316 have come back twice more, once at 8,745 miles and then again at 11,050 miles.

8,745 was when I was on my road trip in California, unsure of fuel brand. 11,050 was just the other day using QT gas.

Scheduled to take it into the dealer on December 10th as that is when they have a loaner.

Side note: I'm on track to do 39k miles this year ?
