What did you do WITH your 6G Ranger today?

Thanks as have been curious about the gas mileage of the 2.7 engine. I had a 2.7 in an F150 4x4 and it always got great gas mileage, rarely under 20 mpg and often 24 mpg on highway trips. I recently traded a 2024 Ranger 2.3 4x4 for a 2025 Ranger 2.3 4x4 and while I was disappointed with the gas mileage of the 2024 (20-21 mpg), the 2025 with the newer 2.3 MPC engine seems to be getting better gas mileage (right at 24 mpg ).

My 2024 with 2.3L gets 24-25 mpg all day every day.
I do drive like an old man , but 20-21 seems low unless you've added lifts and bigger aggressive tires?

maybe a headwind? when i have to drive back to my city from other texas cities, its always a headwind since i live in a beach town. i always lose about 5mpg coming home into that wind

Got a Rhino liner bed liner spayed in my 2025 Raptor yesterday.

I drove to Minnesota and back this week, 1,062 miles round trip, 25.1 mpg. Have my 2024 XL STX since May ‘24 and has been flawless. Upgraded with with a spray-in liner, soft tonneau cover, and new wheels.

Installed the F150 led fitted lights.

Replaced spark plugs with 1 step colder NKG Ruthenium HX spark plugs. Old plugs looked fine, but it definitely runs smoother now. Stock plugs from factory were way over torqued as well, all of them over 20 ft-lbs.
