Heads should be cast aluminum not forged.I looked on the interwebz, Turbo size isnt listed anywhere. Even tried looking at Bronco Raptor forums and such. To my knowledge the block is Iron and the head is forged aluminum.
I read the crankshaft and connecting rods were forged. It was an article on the explorer ST though.Heads should be cast aluminum not forged.
Iād be curious to hear if crank or pistons are forged, but doubt it unfortunately.
With that being said, if Ford is offering the same factory warranty as the 2.3L and 2.7L Rangers and stock calibration makes ~20psi of boost, Iām sure the internals are more than adequate unless you are increasing turbo size or boost pressure dramatically.
Same thatās why I made the thread. Possibly 39mm? Someone will hopefully figure out the correct answer On here.I looked on the interwebz, Turbo size isnt listed anywhere. Even tried looking at Bronco Raptor forums and such. To my knowledge the block is Iron and the head is forged aluminum.
Yeah, I'm not confident on the heads as there's just not a ton of good info. I've seen it listed as both but searching is difficult cause anything "raptor" brings up f150s.Heads should be cast aluminum not forged.
