So I’m poking around the web today trying to figure out when Ford might drop info (specs and pricing) on 2026 Rangers. Chevy unveiled their pricing on their 2026 Colorado’s, so it got me thinking about 2026 Rangers too.

Anyhow came across this webpage from a Ford Dealer outside Salem, OR… https://www.thomasonford.com/research/2026-ford-ranger-release-date.htm#

Did they spill the beans too early or did they mistakenly post info that was meant for other markets?

Tell me about Wildtrak? That level trim is available overseas?

Yes, it's available in Australia, SA, SEA and Europe - pretty much where ever the Thailand assembled Rangers are supplied to. It's kind of like a Tremor trim but with leaf-springs rather than coil overs (more offroad ready than the standard trim, but with all the tech added and still capable of towing/hauling)

There is also a Wildtrak X model too. Off-road chops of the regular Wildtrak but with more premium creature comforts and tech.

Yeah I don't think that's too popular as its only available with the 2.0lt diesel, and has the more off-road ready suspension - so I think it lacks in payload and towing.... not too popular down here in Australia. Don't think I've even seen one in person.

V6 Wildtrak seems to be to go to, perfect for work duties during the week and then adventures on the weekends

Be cool if they did. But I’m definitely not holding my breath.

There’s a little package trick with 2025 XLT FX4 4WD that I preferred but found very rare in my neck of the woods. It’s what I waited for and eventually acquired. Looks close to this with a couple small exceptions.

First you have to be OK with the group 300A (“smaller” screen, no power seats, no power sliding rear window, no dual zone A/C).

Then you select the Advanced Towing + Technology Package which will actually deselect the group 301A and your big screen endeavors. It will add even more cameras and some off-road and towing features. Don’t forget the locking LSD. In a way it’s like a NotARaptor :)

I don’t like the big screen and I don’t like powered seats. I like truck. What I got was what I was looking for; a v6 4-Door Bronco doing an impersonation of an F150. It hauls stuff I need to haul, it hauls ass smoothly once it rows up to 3rd or 4th and oddly can get really good mileage vs the window sticker when I don’t drive like moron (23.6 city and mixed (driving maturely but with authority)).

Historical Note: It reminded me a lot of why way back a lot of people would go XLT 4x4 F truck; get the truck you can afford and upgrade later on a staged installment plan (bonus check, tax refund, etc) just in case things got tight. Sometimes you could even get those additions at the salvage yard like new for peanuts or your girl would drop a locking LSD in your stocking at Christmas.

P.S. It also prices out less than similarly spec’d Bronco and obviously Ranger Raptor.

Apologies for all the edits. It was a chore remembering all the build-fu I went through to get what I was looking for. Hope it helps.
