Has anyone added puddle lamps to their XLT? Is it possible? If so, what did you use. Everything I am seeing online seems geared towards the Lariat/Raptor.

XLT puddle lamps

I put some in as part of my bed/ step/ puddle light system. I have them wired to the battery with a remote that fits on my keychain. I keep an extra remote in the bed and one in the little cubby to the left of the steering wheel.
the bed lights are Kingpin 12”.
The puddle lights are from lux Lighting and the bed steps are ones I left over from another project.

technically you need whole new mirrors. but yoy might be prewired at the door plug at the mirror like my xlt
I say the full assembly, the xlt mirrors dont have the cutouts for the turns, or the puddle. or you could add strips under the door/mirrors, and tap the wire in the door mirror harness. the one circled in red. pin 11(the plug does have the pin locations #'d) you maybe be able to drill the hole in the bottom of the mirror where the puddle light went, and put in a set, then wire them in. the pin for the heated glass, is the same for the turn and puddle lights
you can then use forscan to enable them. and change your zone lighting in the bcm or the apc? from 2 zone(front and back like my xlt) to 4 zone(front, back, and both sides) and i think then each door module
