YO! Aftermarket folks - build a sport bar like this!

I was perusing the Ford Australia site and found this sport bar. Who, that service the U.S. aftermarket, is willing to build something like this? Either the long bar or shorten the rear legs to just the middle mount point.

I don't want a big honkin' ugly "chase" bar - I'm not chasing anyone. I want a bar like this with some light mounting tabs - think retro 1970s look bar.

i had the factory nissan one on my titan. i loved it. i wish someone made a clean looking one for the ranger too because i do not like the look of a chase rack on my truck.

all the crappy generic ones have a weird block underneath, where they sit on the bed, and look terrible. that one above would be perfect with the shorter rear legs

this is my old nissan titanwith the nissan factory sport bar. i wish there was something just like that, but for the ranger

I think @Fordrangerlifts.com built one for his truck and i think it may be for sale in the future. I could be wrong though

Interesting. I had never looked at the Tremor thread as I won't be trading in my XLT any time soon. I was digging around in the Ford accessory site and found the exactly the bar that I want. And it would work if only I had a 5G Ranger.

Anyway, I'll keep an eye out and maybe the Tremor will be released before the aftermarket wakes up.

the 5g bed and 6g bed are very very similar. like, i think just the tailgate trim piece is the difference between using 5g tops on a 6g truck.

nope. they all have the little square tubing on the bottom that makes them fit every truck on the road and look crappy in person. i have seen some local trucks with those generic bars on them and they sit high above the cab because of it.

your isn't like those generic looking ones in the pic that sit on a piece of box tubing. those box tube ones are the ones i think look terrible because of that piece.


i actually found a place that makes nice looking ones like were on the truck in that tv show "the fall guy". misutonida out of italy makes a number of choices that looks nice but i don;t speak italian and don't know if htey ship (though i also found a usa seller, madness autoworks)

though i would attempt to take off that lip on the last roll bar pictured that is on the bottom

It's still a double bar, which I personally don't want. It also looks in the website picture to completely block the CHMSL, which would fail inspection in Virginia. So that one won't work for me.

re:the Tremor - I think Ford is going to have to re-engineer the bar to raise it slightly for the U.S. market for the reason above - it blocks the CHMSL.
