to bad zautomtive doesn't make stuff for fords. they make a deal called a tazer that plugs into the obd port and lets you do all that, plus adjust the stuff speedo and turn off auto start/stop using the steering wheel buttons, but only on jeeps and dodges.
we have one on my wife's wrangler to kill the ASS and adjust the speedo accuracy but i saw settings for police flash and parade flash on the light setting of the menu
I looked at them for one of my previous vehicles. Sounds good and all but they don't work really well so I went with dedicated emergency lights that are made to make you visible. I had visor lights/dash light/grille lights and traffic director lightbar. I moved from responder to dispatcher so I never put them back in to my Ranger.
First issue is fit, fuse box is located lower left side behind headlight switch. Connector J-3 goes straight out to left side pillar. Wires on adaptor are almost to thick and stiff to make a 90 deg exit, really hard to get connected to BCM. Connector J-7 goes straight up and there is a dash support in the way. I was able to get them plugged in, hard bends and lots of strain on connector.
Flash patterns on STX Ranger with mix of LED and Halogen lights really do not work very well. Flashing to fast. Changing the DIP switches had little effect. It has 9 flash patterns, none worked very well. Flash pattern 7 worked best for rear light but caused issues with headlights. 7 was the only pattern where the brake lights would flash, all other patterns only flashed the marker lights.
