There hasnt been a long bed option in the NA market since the Ranger was reintroduced...
From following the chatter on this forum over the last few months, this is a highly sought after option. So i'm sure some people will be very happy to see its happening. not confirmed, but might as well be at this point i feel.
So this is good news.

Meh not for me. If I wanted a long cab and long bed I'd buy an F150. One thing I love about my Ranger is it's size and to be able to fit in my garage.
Valid point. I can’t decide which proportions look better on that side view.

For me I like the shorter bed. Even when I had my F150's back east I always ordered them with a regular cab short bed, I think it looks better. But I get it not everyone likes a shorter bed and some need a long bed to haul stuff around or work out of. It's good to have options but when you're pushing F150 size, I'd buy that over a Ranger.

This is exactly what I have been hoping for ever since the Ranger came back to the NA market. I drive a ‘02 F-150 SuperCrew and have no interest in the current full-size options due to their increased size and cost since I bought mine over 20 years ago. Based on the Ranger specs, if the wheelbase is extended 12” to accommodate a 6’ bed, it would still be 7+ inches shorter than the current F-150 SuperCrew with a 5.5’ bed.

Give me this truck in a Lariat Tremor package and just take my money!!!!

I love the profile! Having the rear wheel almost centered in the middle of the bed looks better to my eyes. I’m not a fan of the front of the rear fenders almost at the back of the cab. Don’t get me wrong, I like the looks of the current SuperCrew, but to me this looks even better.

The current gen ranger is almost identical in size to my single cab standard bed f150. (210" vs 208") I have a good 3' before it wouldn't fit in the garage, so I doubt 1' longer bed would make it not fit in a garage

Apples and oranges. You're comparing a single cab to a super crew. The new Ranger will be a long cab/long bed NOT a single cab. The 2021 F150 with a 6.5' bed is 231.7 and the Ranger is only 210.8. At almost 2' it's not fitting in most average garages.

Apples and oranges are both fruits, they can be compared.

And it's an apt comparison, cab size has nothing to do with overall length in this scenario.
My single cab standard bed f150 at 208" is barely shorter than a quad cab short bed ranger at 210". Both will fit and have ~3' of extra space in what I assume is an average garage depth of 20'

Personally, I am fine with the shorter 5' bed, but the longer cab is a must for me.... that's why I don't currently have a midsize truck, not enough room in that back seat for any adults unless the driver is short.

is it a longer cab though? or more of an optical illusion?
I have a hard time believing Ford would manufacture an entirely different cab for just the LB version...
