Has anyone removed the grill on the front bumper? It was easy on my gen2 F150 Raptors. But I haven't figured out where the clips are or what kind of clips I'm dealing with yet and I don't want to break anything.

I can assist possibly, as we produce the Valance assembly. The majority of it is mounted to the bumper via push pins. The bottom skid plate connects with push pins and two torx bolts behind the grill. Be careful with the two RPA sensor bezels, as they are sonically welded to plastic skid plate and cannot be removed without sacrificing functionality of the park assist.

Have you re-installed? If so, are your sensors working?

I'd like to paint mine, but am unsure if I want to fully remove or just tape off. Based on some of what I have found I should be OK spraying over the sensors while retaining functionality, but I'm willing to sacrifice them and replace if necessary.

I painted over them and they still work.

Nice, that looks really good - what paint did you use?

I rattle can truck bed liner sprayed my front skid plate, but don’t know if that would be too thick for the sensors.

In a different thread I asked if anyone knew the paint code for the bumpers and fender flares and someone replied.... Bolder Grey Metallic code JNV. I used a spray gun but they could also mix it in a spray can.

Appreciate it, will give that a try. Really wish greyed or blacked out was standard. Looked so good on the black pack/tremor.

I did the same mod to my 2017 and 2020 F150 Raptors too. I never cared for the silver skid plate and bumper trim.

Did you happen to take any pictures of the parts while off? I'm interested in doing this as well and want to get a better sense of where the fasteners are.

Not 100% what you’re asking for, but this is the best I could find. Go to 1:55 to see lower silver bumper being pulled off.

Hopefully somebody will post Pics of their bumper pull off soon! We are all waiting!

Started with satin black paint, stripped it and went with Matte black, stripped it and applied truck bedliner with clear-coat on top (this looked the best).

Looks great. This is what I want to do. Looks like you didn't paint over the sensors. How'd you get that type of precision? Did you tape it off?

Once you remove the bumper the sensors are snapped into a little bracket and can be easily removed. I just popped them out and back in once I was done with the painting.
