2026 Ranger Raptor Gray Front Bumper Piece removal for painting

2026 Ranger Raptor. Before I have my grandson crawl underneath to remove the gray valence for painting (I’m to damn old) how many screws and clips must be removed and do any front camera wires have to be disconnected and or removed. I’m getting conflicting information on my searches.

5 bolts, a bunch of push pins, and a lot of plastic-to-metal clips that will need to be removed from the bumper and replaced onto the valance. You will most likely snap off two mounting tabs, near the far outer corners of the valance, removing it from the bumper. Some plastic epoxy may fix this, but I'm not 100% yet of how well this will work.

You can see the outline where this tab broke off and the tab itself. It's in a hard spot to get good leverage on it with the clip removal tools.

Between this and the front bumper pic, you can see where all the clips are located.

Nice and slow with the plastic and metal clips. I took it off to add the FMI Bumper light bar, it wasn’t horrible. Getting the plastic/metal clips to realign when putting it all back together was more annoying than removal.

Can't see it from the driver's seat - that knowledge is even easier.

Mine popped off with a little finesse & sweet talking after the bolts & obvious push pins were removed. Just be methodical & precise and it’ll pop off. No wiring to mess with. Scuffed it up with scotch brite. Couple coats of plastic adhesion promoter and then 2 coats of black Krylon textured and I swear it’s a damn near perfect match to the gray of the grill & fender flares. Spot on! And don’t get caught up in the “textured”. You feel it more than you see it. I did the skid plate as well.
