I have had issues x4 with losing forward drive on this vehicle, was told by Service the first time no codes and they reset the transmission, since then it has now occurred 3x. Today 5/29 lost forward drive on transmission but no engine loss of power just no response from transmission to go forward this lasted about a minute then the transmission responded and went forward.
Also 2 previous times went over a speed bump and vehicle lost forward drive then responded.
Anybody else having this issue??

You try the Bronco forums? They've been out for longer.

No, I initially joined the Ranger5g was told I should be in the Ranger6g, I'm new to this forum stuff just disappointed with having issues with a new vehicle with almost 1700 miles on it.

Just curious if you know when yours was built? month/week? A lot of the January builds are still on quality holds. I'm wondering if there are more issue's with the early builds.

are you saying you are losing forward gears in 4x2 and 4x4 or only 4x4? and how would you know?

It's a 4x2, I was in drive and the transmission felt like it went into neutral, it held where it was but would not go forward when I gave it gas the engine Rev up but it didn't move then after about a minute it responded and I drove off. Call Ford when I got home.

This happened to me today in my XLT. Just around 1700 miles.

Let me know what comes of yours, it may be the same issue as mind. We can compare what the dealer did.

Mine went out at 500 miles. Ford roadside towed to dealership and dealer installed a new transmission. They couldn’t give me any reason for failure, they just had to send it back to Ford so they could inspect I assume.

I would demand that they order the transmission first, then swap it out when it arrives. Or, have them give you a loaner. I'm guessing you're making monthly payments? Then they should provide you with a vehicle.

Well update on my 24 Ranger XLT, I was advised by Ford that they will be replacing the transmission on my 1700 miles new truck and send the damage one back to Ford for evaluation to see what caused my issues and if there is a underlieing problem.
Built Ford tough I guess.
Not happy with this we'll see how things procede from here.

I dropped my Ranger off today at the local Ford dealer to see what they have to say.
