Lost text messages display?

When I first loaded phone first week my text messages displayed. Made no chances to settings in system or phone now no test messages display?

I thought mine was doing this too, it seems that on Android at least, you need to be in the Android auto screen to get the pop-up to read the text messages aloud. So if you are say in the Radio (where I normally keep mine), I hear the notification sound but have no prompt to have them read aloud.

I will try that, but I think I am in android mode (the split screen display) most the time, but I will toy with it, thanks.
