Edit 09/13/24: related discussion:
Dealer says take truck to body shop

Edit 08/06/24. I just now got this email from Ford USA: “This item is out of stock with no estimated time of arrival.”

Edit 08/06/24 as per an email with Jake, australianonlinecarparts.com has 9 kits in stock as of this date..

Part number VN1WZ 2627726 B (it is the same P/N here as in Australia).

EDIT 09/04/24, the Australian sourced kit fits perfectly with no issues at all on US made Ranger Raptor.

Please post a link and details such as shipping cost and shipping time - Ford USA cancelled my order without any notice after two months of waiting. There are many Australia sources. The prices listed (including shipping cost) are in Australia dollars, the exchange rate is AUS$1.00 equals US$0.65.

https://www.australianonlinecarparts.com.au/canopy-j-brace-kit-for-ford-vn1wz-2627726-b

EDIT THEY WILL SHIP FOR US$42.32 (to Spokane). I JUST PLACED AN ORDER, COST WAS US$221 TOTAL by Paypal (and no 10% Washington sales tax, that saved half the shipping cost). I did confirm by email that the part was in stock, it might be a good idea to double check with them before ordering.

Add to cart, then you select your country from a long drop down menu. Prices do not convert to US$. You will see that from your payment provider (such as Paypal).

Thanks for any more sources.

Shame on Ford that we who’ve bought their truck have to resort to this sort of post.

Bad enough they sell them without this being installed at the factory. Worse they make us pay for the part and it’s installation after purchase. Outrageous we can’t even buy the damn part to do so. I’ve been trying since April to get this sorted out, and so has my dealer.

Shaming Ford might be the only language they understand, because they monitor this forum and know of the problem but apparently don’t care to help us resolve this problem.
Maybe if every single one of us who has Twitter, Instagram, etc tags Fomoco and puts them on blast for this they’ll bother to do something for us. Shouldn’t be necessary, but if it’s the only language they understand then so be it

Yes, but are they *in stock* and on the shelf??? NOPE: “30 day lead time”

I have lost track of my wasted hours. I have to call Ford USA again today to find out why my order was cancelled “at my request.” BS!

Never mind, this email just now arrived from the Mother Ship:

“Thank you for contacting Ford Motor Company. This email is being sent to advise that your orderFAE:40178737 was canceled due to item being out of stock with no estimated time of arrival. We apologize for the inconvenience this may cause you. If you need any further assistance feel free to call us at the number provided below. Thank you for being a part of the Ford family.”

30-day lead time, probably more than that. How long and how much to get it shipped from down under?

I updated the info in my first post, shipping of my order is US$43 (to 99208) and no time given. I ordered a set of rear trailing arm position sensor guards from RA Ranger and it took about two weeks total. It shipped within a day, by air freight, but sat at US Customs for a long time. The package has to get processed on entry. I would be shocked if the J braces took more than three weeks to get to you.

These don’t go onto some rusty tramp steamer, they come very quickly between countries!

Wow, that's interesting. I assumed overseas shipping would be more expensive than the parts and take months. Looks like I'm wrong, again.

Well, shipping varies, some companies DO screw you, it is common here in the USA too, for example on eBay when the price is unbelieveably low, but they want a crazy amount to ship it. This screen capture was the Cart for a company that makes a generic version of the OEM Ford parts, they want nearly US$400 for shipping. So be careful in any transaction. Double check the terms before paying! Be especially careful that you are seeing the correct price, the sites may not automatically convert the currency. That happens when you make the payment!

I ordered mine from the local Ford dealer about 2 months ago and I'm still waiting.

I ordered window modules from Australia for my 5G Ranger and they shipped quickly with no issues. Once you factor in the exchange rate, the prices are generally fine.

I lucked out apparently ordering the braces for my non-Raptor 6G from Ford. The site you listed has them as well if someone is having trouble sourcing them.

I think the only difference in the kits is that the regular Ranger has more rivets.

Got a quote from a big Ford dealer, total shipped to me is US$268, no indication of stock level. They quoted a much higher US$131 shipping charge. The quote also included an extra Australia GST (tax) of US$24, but that could be an error.

https://www.jeffersonfordparts.com.au/

They were also a little too slow to respond. I personally would not order from them….. for that reason alone.

Got my Ranger Raptor on 28 March, and ordered the reinforcement kit mid April. That order was cancelled by Ford in May, and they told me to try again in a month. Ordered again on 4 July, paying for the kit and installation. That kit came in last week, and my truck is at Riverside Ford in Macon, Ga. getting installation done. I'll pick the truck up this afternoon.

Maybe they are saving all the reinforcement brackets to put on Job 2 Rangers and Raptors.
I still whine on @Ford and @fordperformance social media asking why they would ship trucks that can't do truck things like add toppers or bed racks without the brackets.
I'm glad I ordered before my Truck even shipped. The brackets were waiting at the dealer and installed the day it arrived.

congrats man.

I tried to do the same (order before vehicle delivered). Prob is in Canada they don’t even list the part on accessories.ford.ca

Can’t order from accessories.ford.com because shipping to Canada isn’t even an option.

As a result, here I am in August with no part and no ability to get one (apart perhaps from this Australian site, despite the fact I brought this to my dealer’s attention in March and we’ve both been trying ever since to get this part in 🇨🇦

WTF @Ford Motor Company ?

Hey John

Thanks a lot for this link. I wrote to these guys and they responded to me very quickly, and confirmed as recently as about an hour ago that they have the part in stock. I’ve gone ahead and place the order and looking forward to finally getting it here in North America.

I’ve been trying since March both on my own and through my dealer, to get this part and without success. So thank you very much for tracking this down and posting on the forum.

now to figure out if I’m gonna trust someone at the dealership, who’s never done one of these to cut my truck, or if I’m gonna do it myself. What decision have you come to in that regard John?

cheers
