It's disgusting and I think it's entirely unethical. Choose your battles though, there's so many it'll make your head spin.
So does your cell phone constantly! You can’t shut it off either.???
If you were good at “cyber security” you’d know damn well that there are steps to take to mitigate privacy violations and you’d be preaching them rather than your defeatist attitude. My tv isn’t on my network, and if I need a firmware update it’s via my guest network using a disposable account, then disconnected from the network. I choose not to use Alexa devices because google is long-known for PII-harvesting even when they posture otherwise. So does ur smart tv, so does Alexa, at this point in the world, nit picking which company does what unethically with data is just wasting time.
Our politicians are too corrupt to follow europes GDPR legislation, so iv just learned to just let it be.
(I work in cyber security, the more iv learned about data handling, the more caring about it is futile, in my view)
Scratch out Ford and replace with Big Tech.If you were good at “cyber security” you’d know damn well that there are steps to take to mitigate privacy violations and you’d be preaching them rather than your defeatist attitude. We absolutely should be raising hell about the direction ford is going with their cavalier attitude about customer privacy.
