First post to this group after purchasing my new truck. I’m having issues with my lower back in the new truck, wondering if others are also experiencing the same issue. I feel like the seat base cushion is too low at the back and too high at the front. As far as I can tell, there’s no modifications for that. I currently have a towel stuffed down in that area and it seems to be somewhat helping, but that’s not ideal.

Towards the left front of the drivers seat don't you have a round dial to turn for lumbar support?

I have tried the lumbar support and it does not seem to help much. I almost feel like they have you sitting down in a hole. It is really quite odd.

I agree, I think the seat or the seat foam may be wearing out prematurely. But I'm not sure. I got my foam in today and that lumbar from Corbeau, I had those, those work really great.

Keep me posted, it sounds like a good idea.

If i can figure out how to take the seat apart, I'll do it myself.
The problem is that there is no support under the seats foam cushion. The rear of the seat just sinks unrestricted. The #4 "Flex-Mat" does not support the rear half at all. You need to put something rigid to support the back 1/2 of the foam cushion from sinking as you are driving. Ours New Ranger is unbearable to drive. It hurts our butt and back. I am hoping I came put something solid on top of that Flex-mat to support the foam cushion. I have seen many other complaints about these seats. They are ALL designed like this.

Post pics when you do it please. Thanks
I took mine into the dealer. my foam was split half way down on the side. They replaced it. Made no difference. But their service mechanic said it was not that hard to remove that bottom cushion. There are some kind of clips holding it in.

What is #8 in this pic. Is that not the foam support for the bottom?

I’m currently sitting on a cushion I purchased from Amazon. I took it to the dealership and they were absolutely no help. Supposedly they submitted a ticket with Ford.

I'm gonna make them replace mine under warranty, soon. Using a foam piece I cut out for the time being.
