I am trying to find some parts. Ford is telling me they are backordered with no expected date. These have been on order for more than a month with no updates. I spoke with the dealer that stated they have made it an "emergency order" on their end and couldn't do anything else. I called Ford Customer Service and they were useless. They said "well at least one of those parts is expected in February." Any suggestions on either finding the parts or escalating this issue with Ford are greatly appreciated.

Part # N1WZ-8200-FB (Grill Radiator) Backordered until Feb 15
Part # MB3Z-8475-L (Shutter Assembly Radiator Control) Backordered with no date expected

A little backstory:
I ordered my Ranger Raptor while on mid-tour leave during a deployment. I never received a VIN or build date. After a little over four months, I had just returned from deployment and the dealer called stating that someone had declined to pick up a Ranger Raptor and it was available if I wanted it. I picked it up in September. About 3 weeks later a deer ran out in front on me on the interstate and in fairly heavy traffic. I hit the deer and it flew into the next lane and was almost hit by another truck. It was a fairly large amount of damage because I was driving at 70mph when I hit it. The parts were ordered late October/Early November. All other work is complete except these 2 things. I am looking for any suggestion on either finding the parts or escalating this issue with Ford. I am extremely angry about the lack of concern from their customer service. I don't think it is acceptable to have a $60K paperweight because of two pieces of plastic.

I had a minor front end collision on my Ranger that took out the front bumper cover, grille and the active shutter grille assembly. Took over two months to get the active grille shutter.

I learned that not matter how much of a fuss you make towards Ford, the needle is not going to move and you will get it when you get it. Collision part spares allocations are not a high priority to Ford. They also do not allocate by first in, first out but allocate by part distribution region sprinkling what spares to each region. My collision shop had to go outside the box and make a drug deal with another parts distribution region to get mine in.

I looked into these, I see they are on backorder with no solid ETA at all. The only thing I could suggest to possibly help this is to ask your dealer to make a "COPIS" case for vehicle-off-road. If the parts simply don't exist at the moment then you may be SOL but some times they will pull parts off production lines and such to get one to you.

Worth a shot at least.

I understand some delays on parts but I've been waiting for more than a month and they don't even have an expected date. It's looking like it's going to be a while

I needed a new driver's side running board and rear wheel plastic fender flare, both got dinged by another driver. The one running board took 3 weeks to get. The fender flare initially had no parts availability and no ETA. It finally showed up at the collision repair shop 6 weeks later.
Note: the rough surface on the running board sure did a number on the other vehicle and likely prevented more damage on my RR.
Good luck.

I am not excusing it but just giving an example that you are not alone in this regard of having to wait with no ETA.

Between this being a first year vehicle here in the USA/Canada, the UAW strike last year and basically a delayed roll out this year half way into the model year, the whole support chain for repair post sale is a debacle.

Thank you for your service, I hope someone with FORD will bump your issue up to Priority ASAP!
