My Raptor is at the dealer having the J-braces installed this morning. I have the Diamondback SE being delivered next Tuesday. If it's warm enough to get it installed (Minnesota... currently -1), I'll take some pics next week.
Same! Was happy to see the shipping notification today. Went to the extra effort of heating my garage so I'll definitely be installing this ASAP when it arrives Tuesday (as long as the work schedule allows).

Jealous... heating the garage is on my ever-long to-do list. It's attached and insulated. Just need to run the gas line and install. Would you have bought the HD if they had made it?

Without a doubt yes. That was the original plan, tbh - but the SE will get me 90% of the way to what I wanted to achieve anyway. I have UpTop Overlands Diamondback specific crossbars ready to be installed as well; for use with a bike rack and snowboard/fishing pole rack(s). You?

Same. I do like to go on hunting trips and would have preferred to put a RTT on it, so I was irritated when they said they wouldn't make the HD, particularly with their reasoning because it doesn't hold water. The SE weight capacity for a RTT is a bit concerning. I know some have done it, but I don't know if I will. Swayed me to just perhaps build out a very small overlanding trailer instead - maybe a blessing in disguise saving me the work of on/off the truck all the time. When I ordered my SE, I paid to have the extra 8 cleats installed in the typical HD locations and I did not order any tracks. Like you, I'll be installing the UpTop bars. I really like these low ones.... similarly will be using them for skis, maybe occasionally mounting some safari baskets for extra storage, etc. What height bars did you get? I'll be looking forward to seeing some pics of yours when everything is installed. Whereabouts in WI are you?

Those are the ones I have! I had a pair of universal Yakama bed clamp style ones and they were right in line of sight behind me - which I hated. I was aiming for that not to be an issue with those. I also had all the cleats installed and ordered the light and tool holder as well, we'll see if those are already installed or I have to install them.

Similar to you, I was thinking about a RTT and tbh, never gave the weight capacity a thought. Probably something I should consider if I want to go that route. We do have a 20' RV I tow in the summer, but it's only used in nicer weather and if the family is in tow. I do avidly hunt as well, which is why I was thinking of even mounting a Pelican case/gear box on the bars too, even though I hate the "look at my gear" kind of attention that brings.

Anyway, I am just outside of Madison. My folks are retired and live near Hayward, WI, though, which is a hop-skip away from the cities.

Like minds I guess! Probably comes with the MN / WI territory and hobbies. I was really debating on the tool bar. It might be something I do in the future, but I plan to slide in some of the bigger pelican cases, coolers, hunting gear and was speculating it might always be brushing against the tools on the bar, so held off for now. PLUS, I'm waiting for BuiltRight to come out with the bedside molle panels. Once they do, that's where I'll mount tools. For a light, I'm going to mount a 40" Kingpin bar. I'm going to wire it to one of the Aux switches and put a secondary switch in-line back in the bed.

You're most likely right, regarding the hobbies, haha. The toolbar is actually for something to snag stuff in the back of the bed if I cannot reach, without climbing back there. 35" tires lifts this thing a bit higher than stock, haha. But you're right, curious how low it'll sit.

That light looks amazing! And super smart to route two switches. It'll be some work, but highly worth it. Also, BuiltRight makes amazing products! I have the seat back molle panel and it's incredible. highly recommended. As I mentioned, the family and I road trip/off road trip/camp all year round. So, on the panel I have a med kit, an oversized A/T tire repair kit, battery jump box and my ham radio, plus a Milwaukee Packout which has ratchet straps and hitch pins (drop hitch and accessories are under the seat). Chatted with the dudes at BR, and the previous gen bed mounts do NOT fit, so same as you, I am waiting for those as well!

Dude, I didn’t know the seat back molle panels worked for our truck. It doesn’t come up as a fit. I was also waiting for those! Are they rigid / stiff? I have kids that sit behind and they’re always kicking the seats, so I’d like to get these on sooner than later mostly for molle bags for all their junk + ipad holders for the road trips.

You're right, it doesn't list it on their site! I chatted with them and they mentioned it did fit as long as I didn't have the lay down seats - so I gave it a shot. Works great! They are extremely rigid as they are bolted to the frame of the seat. That Packout is probably the best of, idk, 20 lbs with the retractible ratchet straps and hitch pins I have in there - plus everything else on the panel

Seat Back Tech Plate MOLLE Kit - Ford F-150 & Raptor (2015-2024), SuperDuty (2017-2024), Ranger (2019-2023)

^ that's the one, for $215.

I will say I did have to cut some under seat fabric (not the leather) to make it easier. I cannot remember if this was required, I think I just did it due to the lack of room back there to work. Can't see it at all. Regardless, it's awesome. I will say, I have a 3 yr old in a car seat and she would not be able to fit behind that seat where my driving position is, and I am only 5'9". This could be due to the amount of crap I have on there, though (some will move when the bed molle panels become available). I have the kiddo always behind my wife who is maybe 5' on a good day, so her seat is farther up - well that, and she has zero tolerance for toddler seat kicking, haha.

So how do you feel about your Diamondback? I'm questioning myself right now. The instructions say to line it up with the outermost edge of the bulkhead, but if I do that the cover isn't quite long enough to make a seal on the tailgate. So I'm having to cheat it toward the back just to get any meaningful seal on the tailgate. And even then it's hard to get much of the cover over the tailgate just due to the way the sides round back to the tailgate. I don't feel like the fitment is particularly good for our truck. What do you think? Also, I wish I would not have had them pre-install my cleats. They're somewhat crooked.... and that's annoying. You'd think they would have been able to install them correctly there at the factory. I'm a bit disappointed overall.

I also took receipt of an SE last week. I agree that the cover is barely long enough to cover the bulkhead and tailgate simultaneously. Additionally, the gap between my bulkhead and cover seal measures 1.25". I received an adhesive seal to cover the bulkhead that measures a few mm. My lock rod guide brackets are short causing my lock rods to crash into the bed rail, preventing them from locking. Fortunately they are sending me longer brackets and a taller seal ... fingers crossed they work.

Unfortunately one of my panels came bent and there wasn’t a rear gap seal included with my shipment. Safe to say I wasn’t able to install mine. The light and tool bar were not installed which is fine, but all my cleats were installed straight, so that’s at least a win. Thing is though, I’ll be removing/reinstalling the cleats to add the UpTop bars when I get my new non-bent panel.

I received my shipment of replacement parts today. Unfortunately it contained one bracket, but the cover uses four.
