Checked in with the dealer I placed my order with back in October. They said it would likely be summer before I'd get the truck. Meanwhile, there are lovely 2025 ZR2 Bison's at the chevy dealer down the street, on the lot, for sale TODAY. I really don't get Ford. If you have problems, just communicate with the people who placed orders, but they just don't seem to give a damn. Perhaps their stock will go down some more after the 7% crater today and the idiots in charge will get fired by the board, here's hoping.

I'm sorry I won't be able to join the Ranger Raptor club, but I need a truck and waiting until summer isn't an option. Best to all of you, I hope you (eventually) get your trucks.
We got a 2024 Ranger XLT. But we waited over a year for the order and then canceled. We bought one off the lot about an hour north of here. It was absolutely worth it. The Ranger is a really nice truck. we had a Tacoma before.

Ed,

All good points in the tread. My dealer texted me yesterday and said they got one allocation for a Ranger Raptor and mine is the only one they ordered so I should be getting a build date soon. Hang in there man! You know your going to cringe when that RR blows by you.

The reviews overwhelming show that the RR is a great off road and all around truck... the wait will be worth it! Mine was ordered 11.4.24. and I like who ever posted the build update was the first I've seen. Just an FYI from a career 35 yr fortune 500 company man in sales.... your best customers are treated the worst! I didn't agree with that philosophy but it is all about the numbers and they already have ours!!!!

just recently bought a 2024 ranger raptor, and I sort of had the same issues. When speaking with the dealer and researching, it is the exact same truck. There was some official document showing the 2 trucks, it's more or less identical, but assume some minor tweaks for defects and bill of materials reductions. Find a 2024, the only different is the year stamped on it. It took me about 2-3 weeks to track one down in my area, and once you find one, be prepared to move quickly on it, don't wait, make it a priority for yourself if you really want the truck. You can do it!

Great News! First one Ive seen.
This is the status of mine below, to add another data point.

Interestingly enough, this was a STOCK ORDER at a large dealer that got picked up for production early on. My guess is that they had one Retail Order in waiting and received 2 allocations super early. One went to the Retail Order (currently showing as "Sold" on their site), and the other went to a Stock Order that they stood up to capitalize on the allocation. Who knows...

I just lucked upon it by being super active (annoying) with all my local dealers - it hadn't been reserved by anyone so I put a deposit down and reserved it.

I know this may be an anomaly, but per some of the comments above, the dealer does really matter in this case. Big, high volume dealers are likely getting the bulk of the early allocations.

I agree that waiting six months or more totally sucks when competitors have 2025s landing on lots. Aside from any systemic issues at Ford, I think the pure demand for the RR is a big contributor.

I ordered my RR 11-12-24. Still hoping I get scheduled soon. My dealer did not receive any allocations this month so waiting for the next allocations to be announced.
They did say expect summer delivery when I ordered it. So it's a waiting game.
For those looking for a Raptor on the dealer lots in Texas expect to pay some type of markup, ADM, high transaction fees or junk packages. Adds up to $3K to $15K over sticker. I contacted every dealer in Texas that had a Raptor on the lot, same markups at all but many hide it until you ask for the Out The Door price in writing. Got so frustrated I ordered out of state at invoice price. I'm willing to travel to not get overcharged.

Not being abrasive or anything, seriously. Just providing evidence. This is a Ranger Raptor.

Could you let us know when your truck ships? I have a 2/24 build date and curious how long it takes after to build and ship the truck. I guess they would ship all the 2/05 build dates before they start building the 2/24 ones.

Sorry Greg, this is not my specific truck. I just hunted some supporting data for the OP and others. I would anticipate arrival approximately a month after the built date. They may do some additional QC prior to rail loading. Then there is transfer to a truck usually. Also, if your expectations are leaning towards a month and it arrives sooner it's extra icing on the cake. That's how I view it at least.

I hope Ed is able to find a dealer out of state that can get him a Raptor sooner.

I was down to the wire between the Ranger and Colorado, with Colorado's staring me in the face 2 minutes away from my house, but the features of the Ranger have heavily weighted merit with me, so I'll wait for my Ranger to be built. We all want our truck yesterday though. 😁

I was playing the waiting game on an order myself. I placed a deposit on a supposed allocation at an out of state dealer in Sept. 24. This was after giving up on all the $5-10K markup BS locally. Got a few updates here and there from that dealer but I think it was mostly lip service.

I saw one at a local Ford dealer in December and with some back and forth was able to pick it up at MSRP and the wait was over!

If you can find one on a dealer lot even close to the way you want it, I would work that angle because waiting ain't no fun.

The Ford Dealer is the problem with your order. Just go look around for one at dealer or two that has one. There are good deals to be found.

I show 115 2025 and 76 2024 RR's listed new, for sale across the country. My local dealer has two not in that list below MSRP, so there are more. I see at least a half dozen 2024 3K below MSRP. Carfax is your friend.....

Oh gotcha haha yeah the Colorado is such a good looking truck and pretty good value for the price. I just love the Raptor engine and customizable suspension / exhaust. Little worried that all the customization adds complication and might lead to expensive fixes, but that sounds like a future me problem.

Definitely feels like Ford has been dragging their feet, my dealer originally said my build date would be late January but it got pushed back to late Feb. Praying for no delays on the order! 🤞

Yeah I was able to get a quicker build date from a large dealership that primarily sells large volume work trucks. Their typical customer isn't looking for a ranger raptor and they may have an extra allocation lying around for one.

Most Texas dealers I've contacted have all been very quick to offer MSRP. Only one wouldn't budge on the F&I dealer add ons and it was the only one I really wanted as it was the discontinued Hot Chili Red. Just waiting for my 2025 Velocity blue now.

I never made it to F&I. The OTD always had extra charges. All said they would sell at MSRP🤣 then came the mandatory extras☹
