Hope is on the horizon.... I received a text this morning that my is
" expected to begin your Ranger (Raptor) the week of March 31, 2025". Ordered on 11.4.24 and got dealer allocation notice a couple of weeks ago. Hang in there... patience is a virtue!
Literally got the same text last night, no email update yet though.

I finally have a production date for my Ranger order. Thank the Lord! (and Ford).

I nearly was about to bail and look at Colorados after nearly 1 year of waiting.

Hopefully this doesn't jinx actual delivery.

Original order - 5/4/2024
Move to 2025 - 10/17/2024

Oh gotcha haha yeah the Colorado is such a good looking truck and pretty good value for the price. I just love the Raptor engine and customizable suspension / exhaust. Little worried that all the customization adds complication and might lead to expensive fixes, but that sounds like a future me problem.

Definitely feels like Ford has been dragging their feet, my dealer originally said my build date would be late January but it got pushed back to late Feb. Praying for no delays on the order! 🤞
Don't I repeat don't buy the chevy. I come from a family that is in the chevy business. The 8 speed transmission is crap

Checked in with the dealer I placed my order with back in October. They said it would likely be summer before I'd get the truck. Meanwhile, there are lovely 2025 ZR2 Bison's at the chevy dealer down the street, on the lot, for sale TODAY. I really don't get Ford. If you have problems, just communicate with the people who placed orders, but they just don't seem to give a damn. Perhaps their stock will go down some more after the 7% crater today and the idiots in charge will get fired by the board, here's hoping.

I'm sorry I won't be able to join the Ranger Raptor club, but I need a truck and waiting until summer isn't an option. Best to all of you, I hope you (eventually) get your trucks.
I get it. I ordered on 10/15/24 with priority code 06 and have watched while dealers get dealer stock. Even the dealer I ordered from received dealer stock and mine has yet to be built. Retail orders should be #1 priority until they're all built.

Ford's ordering system just seems like a random joke.

But I'm patient, I'll wait.

I ordered a RR Nov 11, 2024. Got tired of waiting with no real date of production. I found one on a out of state dealers lot and bought it. I agree Ford's ordering system is very bad. I say that an ex autoworker, and dealership employee. We never had ordering issues like Ford is experiencing. I would think inventory management of assembly line parts is the issue. Inventory forecasting is a major component of any manufacturing operation. If you can't forecast needed parts you can't build automobile efficiently. Plus there should be safety stock to get through until stock can be replenished. Hard to believe 40 years ago we built cars more efficiently without all these robots, computer software and technical advancements we have now. And did it with more profits but that was with much better CEOs, upper management and boards of directors.

Yes don't give up. Ordering of vehicles in general needs to improve for all manufacturers (except probably Tesla). I have worked for 18 years in Ecommerce building major websites. You should be able to buy exactly what you want.

That said, I visited Detroit in summer of 2023 and visited the historic Ford Piquette plant. Influenced by my trip to Michigan, I followed the Maverick launch and the new 6g Ranger starting in fall of 2023. I placed my Ranger order on May 4th 2024. It will finally be built this week and likely delivered 3-4 weeks later. It will be about 1 full year that I have been waiting. I also was nearly about to bail on my order and buy whatever else I could find on a dealer lot.

Now I am just happy to get exactly what I wanted. It may be a great vehicle or maybe not, that story is yet to unfold.

If your dealer doesn't have an allocation your order will never be scheduled. Rather than blame Ford, who is far from perfect, in this case I'd be looking at the dealer. The weekly Long McArthur videos do a good job explaining this.
I just ordered my RR this week and yes there allocations are spent but allegedly they get "more allocations" as the year goes on. I can't get a straight answer on when Ford will grace them with another allocation and then they may not be offered RR. I will give it some time but I plan to ask one of the managers for a more concrete window of opportunity. I am patient and can wait as long as i have a reasonable time frame.

They had an ordered white RR delivered last week, that buyers finances fell thru so I at least got to drive it and confirm it fits in my garage (6.5' door ). I declined a white one. They have a Green one on the way for another customer who ordered it and I'm on top of the list in case they back out. I will also start looking at other dealers who have allocations left as a back up plan. I was told that Ford won't let them sell them for less than sticker so whoever wants my business gets it 1st.

I bought a RR today for under MSRP just as it was advertised. No markups or adds. Since I could not get an answer on the extra allocations for the one I have on order since November, I went searching and found one on the ground identical to the one I have on order. You should be able to find one. Also I asked if the dealership has more allocations as the one I bought was sold but the deal fell through this morning. My salesman told they have more allocations and units coming. FYI my Raptor was on the dealers lot for 28 days as a stock unit.

Thanks! I'm trying every search engine out there. Ford.com search is a joke..I've found a few between 150-200 miles away. I am in the Indianapolis area.

I found mine 1100 miles away, I live Houston so I am having it shipped .
I tried all the search sites, found mine using Cars.com seems data is more up to date than most. Search nationwide, pick dealerships in rural areas if you can. Ford dealerships in the farming belt seem to offer the best prices without adds.

How'd you deal with a trade and or financing? Do they charge a ton for shipping?

Financing is simple. I got pre-approved and asked the dealer to match or beat the rate I received from my credit union and bank.
I'm selling my car locally so no trade.
Shipping came in at $1 per mile. In my case $1100 which they wrapped into the deal. With shipping and doc fees the price was $500 or so under MSRP.
This the first time I have purchased a vehicle out of state. The salesman was very patient and walked me through the steps. Most dealerships ship out of state but you have to ask to be sure.
