I thought this was going to be about how much gas is really left in the tank, but instead I got a good laugh at John's reply. Needed that today.

Regarding how much is left, the only time I've let the tank get to the 25 miles left point, I put in just over 18 gallons. Seems pretty accurate.

I had a 2019 Ranger and it wasn't bad on the miles to empty.
The 2024 is awful. Each time I fill up the miles to empty is different
and I mean the swing has been as large as 45 miles.

You've got to give it some time to dial in it's accuracy. It just goes off of your last few tank's performance. My F150 was all over the place when it was new. My Ranger is different every fill up, but it's getting better.

Not sure it goes off last tanks performance, from experience in my F-150 if I was pulling a trailer and getting 10mpg it would show 40 miles to empty when it was really 80 miles or so when I disconnected the trailer. Hence calculated as recent economy and fuel level.

I'm only thinking of mine, but isn't it an (analog) digital gauge with the miles to empty below it? If you can add the temp to the tire pressure in FORscan, I'm wondering if there's a setting to turn off the number.

Ran my RR down to 4 miles left and could only squeeze in 19 gallons?
