Shout out to American Adventure Lab @AdventureLab for building a custom amp rack for me while they were bringing the rear seat delete to market. Awesome quality and exceptional customer service!

Oh man, that looks great! It's risky designing a part, powder coating it, and shipping it without fitting it into a vehicle. I was worried about it. 🤣🤣 Glad it worked out well!

It definitely could be. I assumed it would be a one-off, but if anyone else wants one, please let me know. We can get it added to the site.
Can you build it so that it recesses into the cavity there? Id like to use something like this for a powered subwoofer, but it needs the space from the recess.

I actually sent them a few pointers last night. One was to sink it in about a 1/2”

I believe so, but it definitely complicates the layout a little. I also think it would need to jog back out to get back to the to the bottom vertical flange. I don't think there's as much room behind the bottom of the part as there is in the middle. It's hard to say here as I don't have our Ranger disassembled right now. It still has the Rear Seat Delete and OEM sub in it.

I could probably make that bottom vertical section a little shorter and tuck it under the carpet a little, so I could move the mounting surface rearward some.

The problem with stuff like this is if I spend a lot of time on it, it would either have to be really expensive or we would need to know there is ample demand there to cover the R&D cost.

I would love to be able to make it and know there were enough people out there wanting them to justify the effort. We have a pile of products in the hopper that already have strong demand and, unfortunately, I only have so many hours in the day.

My sense is that there is definitely demand for a universal mount in that location but people are going to mount a lot of different things there with different bolt patterns. If there was a simple plate, then users could drill their specific holes wherever applicable. Just need to maximize the space in that recess.

I would like to think you're right. Hopefully some of those people could chime in here and add some fuel to the fire. 😁

If it did recess inward a bit in that opening, would there be enough room to mount a compressor like ARB has or one similar?

That could be one possible use and I would seriously consider it.

I would definitely order a plate like that, but especially one that would also fill the space the factory subwoofer used to occupy. Many of us have pulled it and added an 8 or 10 inch powered sub. Currently it just floats around back there and is pinned by the rear seat. An aluminum plate would add some heat sink to it, the amp and to the GMRS radio I plan to install behind the seat. My current plan is to buy a large plastic sheet and mold it with a heat gun for mounting these things. A custom aluminum plate that I can drill my own holes into would be a huge upgrade to my plan.

Good question. Maybe @DaStockST could pull a measurement on what it is now. Looks like I could add about 20mm of depth to it pretty easily.

That's exactly what I was hoping for. The more "generic" this can be, the broader it's appeal, I think.
