Thats what i came up with /\

I couldnt find the instructions so i just winged it
I checked after @Pirategrad asked about position only to find out that the instructions didn't get pushed out to the product pages. They're good now. Sorry you had to play detective to figure out their positions.

Its ok.

Today i used the mounts to tie down a bunch of jeep parts we bought a couple hours out of town. They worked great

I went back and am correcting the shim stack and putting the bolts in that hold the under bed rail brackets in. What a difference now for changing shims. So easy, just like the video shows, zip out and zip back in.

The only problem i have come across is the forward most bolt for the under brackets that are nearest the cab is in the stack pocket so i cannot put that one bolt in on each side. The brackets stay fine though with just the other bolt holding them in place.

Threaded nuts under the rails where the brackets get bolted in place to.

Thanks! It was super easy after seeing the print instructions and realizing that the under rails nuts didn’t not need to be removed. I felt super dumb.

one more ask - What is the exact specs for the bolts that secure the shim packs and BRAPS? I stripped one of the BRAP bolts and I need slightly longer bolts to secure the shim packs.

Thanks!

I never saw torque settings but i had the same problem with one bolt stripping. I found it to be from not seating the bit all the way in while tightening though. I tapped the bit in with a hammer and pulled the bolt and replaced it.

I took spacers out so i just left the stack bolt out since they were to long now

I just went till snug and 1/8 turn more. No more gaps under the tonneau cover now.

These things are nice, those extra tie downs and the nut plates. Man, so nice to have tie downs all over now

I know the plastic is bulging at the edges but i dont care. I want the tonneaut to sit flush and seal.

I was going to trim the plastic but figured i better hold off for now in case i end up getting a ranger raptor in 3 or 4 years. If i dont do that, i will trim the plastic where the tie downs are so the rail doesnt bulge out on the outside

I agree about how hard that bolt is to get in. It can be done. We have them in ours, but there is not much room in there. Unfortunately, there isn’t anything we can do about it. I started to include hex bolts for that position, but we actually found the button head Allen bolts to be easier to get into the hole since you can stick an Allen wrench or long bit into the bolt to aid with install.
