Has anyone done a rear block lift on the non-Raptor Ranger yet? I am doing a 1.5" rear block this weekend and am concerned it's going to put the stock FX4 shocks outside of their optimal working range.

No, doing a 2.5" lift on the front and still need about 1" of rear lift for my trailer.
BTW, I only have 2" of difference front to back so a 2.5" front lift will upend the truck by .5". Hence the 1.5" rear block.

Maybe. Some have done the 2.5" lift that yielded only 2" of actual change.

Cool, I'm thinking of doing the same so that I can put some size 33 shoes on

i did a 2.5 on the front too and i think it looks nose high. i was thinking of adding a 1" block in the back to hopefully get a hair of rake in the back end back.

Do you have any concerns about pulling the rear shocks out of their optimum range when adding the blocks?

i don't because in the normal riding position, the shock will be partially compressed and mine won't ever get fully extended since mine is a 2wd and i am not going jumping or anything.

and i have run stock shocks on jeeps with 2" lifts and had zero issues so i figure the ranger will be totally fine. i really wouldn't mind stepping down to a 1.5 lift on the front either but i cannot find one for cheaper than putting a spacer in the back costs

Yeah, the spacer blocks are inexpensive. Especially if you install them yourself.
