That seems to be THE size for a Blackout Package truck. A 1" spacer might be a good buffer for extra clearance, but that's the right size. If Ford made a Tremor package, this would be it.
I may do a 3/8" wheel spacer down the road. I know some don't like them, but I have not had any issues using them in the past, as long as they are quality made. If I do that, I will do fender flares too. I don't like wheels poking out past the fenders. Right now, the sidewall sticks out just a tad, which is fine.

Gyro, a hanks for your post. I followed suit and fricking love the look with these tires. I don’t feel like the photos do this tire size justice. They look better on the truck in person. Mine clear everything as well. If you want to keep your BAP wheels, this is the way.

Paul Davis - what are you averaging for MPG with the 265’s? Also, are you keeping those tires at MAX inflation so they don’t bulge and hit the arms? I’m either going with 255/70/18 or 265/70/18. Your truck looks great.

Going to jump in here since I am running 265/70/18s on my 25 Lariat 2.7. I lost .4 mpg when changing tires from stock. Stock wheels, no level/lift, no spacers, no trimming and no rubbing. Actually when you increase tire size you actually use less PSI than the smaller stock tires because there is more volume to support the weight. I am running around 28 cold psi. There are on line psi calculators that consider axle weight front and rear, and mfg specs for the stock tires (psi, size). I have about 1/4 to 3/8 clearance with the UCA. Any bulge from low PSI will be on the tire road contact area. The stock tires only had my. than 1/2 inch clearance. For a peace of mind I may put on 3/8 inch hub centric spacers which will provide more aclearance than stock. In regards to mpg pay attention to tire weight. Stock GY Territorys are 34 lbs I replaced them with GY Workhorses AT with SL range and they weigh 39lbs. They are so much better than the stock tires especially in wet conditions. I would suggest staying away from tires weighing 40+ lbs. and light truck tires unless your primary focus is offroad. BTW my speedometer is now understated by 3mph at 75 gps mph. Hopefully this helps

Yes it does help, thanks. My F150 Powerboost (3.5L hybrid) lost a couple MPG when I went from the crappy stock Hancooks to one size up LT Bridgestone Dueler Ascent AT’s. I prefer to keep the air pressure higher - better MPG and I like a firmer ride. So when I change the Ranger’s tires, I’ll probably keep them up near 38-40 (44 max tire). Hopefully they won’t “expand” into the upper control arm! The other, safer choice would be 255/70/18’s but we’ll see.

The 255 will be just over 32" tall and the 265 will 32.6"

I’m running 275/70r18s. So, I get dog shit MPGs because of where I live. Traffic is terrible and my city loves putting traffic lights every 100 yards. Even when I get on the freeway I sit in stop and go traffic. So, I’m getting about 15.7 right now. I was getting 16.3 or so before the tires. But I only had it for a few days before upgrading the tires.

the psi is at what the factory recommendation is. I don’t remember what that is. I’m not having any uses with clearance, but I have a set of 3/8 spacers sitting in the garage that will be going on it this weekend. I would rather have the extra space. You should be totally fine with 265s.

I assume you have to use extended lug nuts with the 3/8 spacers? I saw Bora has 1/4 inch spacers....i have 265/70/18 so I am thinking I could use them with stock lug nuts and gain a bit more clearance from the UCA. Where did you source your spacers and did they come with extended lug nuts? TIA

I got mine from wheel adapters USA. But I wouldn’t recommend them. They don’t have a good rating. The adapters I got from them are good. They fit snug. The lug nuts they sent me were the wrong ones. So I had to order some on Amazon. You definitely need them. I tried with the stock ones and only got about 5 turns on them before they were snug. I’ve got the nuts, just haven’t had time to put the spacers on yet with them.

Thanks. I will go with Bora never heard anything bad about them. Just a few more dollars but no worries.

RJRanger, do you have any other pics of your Ranger outside? I'm trying to decide between leaving my Lariat FX4 stock height or giving it a modest 1.5" level. I will be getting the 265/70/18's as well.

These Rangers don't have the massive rake that the F150's come with from the factory, so I'm not so sure a level is needed for me. The last thing I want is for the front to look like it's "up". Not a fan of that look. Thank you

Here some outdoor pic. I do not think it needs a level
