Will the hidden organizer work with the armrest cover or do the straps that hold the armrest cover in place get in the way of opening the hidden compartment?

The "top" elastic strap seems to interfere with the "trap door" but possible to stretch it out of the way

I have both and actually find the strap helps keeps the door closed when my wallets inside organizer. To open it the strap easily stretches and allows easy access to the compartment.

I thought this cover attached via straps on the underside. Does your attach differently? Maybe Museology has 2 different covers.
I just noticed I took that picture without the cover on. The strap does fit just below the 2 knobs, it doesn't really interfere with it opening.

Actually instead of a suspended tray I'd be happy with just an organizer or a mat that sits all the way on the bottom, just to keep stuff from rolling around and rattling in there.

What is the point of the console lid cover?

Protects the factory lid material from premature wear or cracking or potential damage. Had one on my last F-150 console lid. Took it off at trade in and the console looked 100% mint and even the factory foam wasn’t broken down on the drivers side. The cover took the abuse. Plus they add some extra cushion & thickness which is a bonus to some.
Cheap & just slide on & off.

I've never damaged a console lid in 40+ years of driving, but maybe I'll try one because I'm bored and have disposable income.

Hell with your finances I’d try and stack 2 of them on there…..with the boredom go for 3!
Also forgot the added protection for the paws of the 95lb. Doberman named Judas that’s in the backseat a fair amount of the time.

Damn! That’ll be some cushy comfort and that’s some unimaginable disposable income.
You must be one of those “is it Friday or Saturday?……I’ve been making SO much money I can’t keep track” kinda guys!

I wish, but I do pretend that I own a mansion and a yacht sometimes.
