Taillight Lighting for Back-up Camera at Night

Has anyone found a better taillight for backing up at night in respect to the back-up camera being easier to view? My 2024 has so much red shining on objects from the taillight that it makes the screen hard to see well with the tint from the taillight. Maybe adding back up lights below the truck is the answer and has anyone done this?

They have some pretty nice wiring harnesses for doing single or dual backup lights that trigger / power of the tail light. Super easy to install. I used it for a slightly different project though. Also, not a good solution, but try turning your headlight selector to off while in reverse. For me the camera adjusts to pure white light and looks better. Jut as an experiment. I also have an additional backup light though.

Added Diode Dynamics reverse lights. was a majors improvement over the oem halogens. the brakes use to overpower the reverse. then I had a set of DD C1R's off my old rig, I added under the bumper canted off on an angle to help backing with my trailer down my inlaws driveway, I got reverse lights on trailer, but a couple times I got the back of the truck too close to the trees while focusing on the trailer. so the c1rs give me width. and the drop in bulbs give me the distance rearwards.

I put on the M & R Automotive read lights and their kit is an easy install to the number 3 aux switch that’s in back by spare

I used this reverse lighting solution.
A bit of work to get it fitted but I am happy with the result.
I spliced it into the trailer reverse wiring, works fine.
