Any decent tune gets us to 500/550+ with the 3.0, I can't imagine how much heavier it is with any of the big-block options. I would gladly take a 3.5 HO as an upgrade, the 3.5 can make serious HP.

A fully dressed 7.3L ( with alternator, ac compressor and other accessories) weighs just shy of 200bs more than a fully dressed 3.0L T T.

True, I am not familiar enough with the two engines to know what the cost difference would be.
Or if Ford markets the 6.8L version in the crate motor re-power world.

I am picturing the components to make 6.8 vs 7.3 being pretty similar so cost might be negligible if Ford performance does offer the 6.8L crate motors.

The rest would surely be the same, same labor, same custom fabricated parts like drive shaft , motor mounts, etc.

Just trying to picture how all this would work, I really can’t imagine if it were available as an option that it would have more then a $2k discount from the 7.3L. .

Like you mentioned it you still would be potentially looking at a power reduction from the stock 3.0L TT v6 . Where the 7.3L Normal aspirated v8 they are using is 500hp crank rated.
I didn’t ask for a price for it , but there is supposed to also be a Megazilla option I believe he said it was 650hp. I think that one is supercharged and likely to add a lot to cost. I imagine it would also be tighter fit and present a whole slew of other changes to accommodate not only physical size and added components , but power as well. So I could easily see that price tag being 50-100% higher for a Magazilla conversion.

Where 6.8L vs 7.3L NA I cant see how much if anything would really change in labor or hardware side if the conversion.

Their website is a little weak on details.
I see in the pics both are normal aspirated.
When you click on either engine.

Click on either engine it takes you to the same page where you then see the below quote.

That is an interesting warning they have on the Megazilla too.

I did find where I got that 150 lbs from.
For sure not scientific fact seeing it in a video.
It was that first Godzilla Bronco video I watched.

Where weight was concerned, I was picturing based on that 150 lbs they had mentioned.
That I was really not likely to be dealing with anything to critical to require any significant suspension changes.

Was thinking 150 lbs is less than say a custom bumper and winch setup would add.
And being that it would be concentrated much further back in the chassis then say a winch and bumper would be hanging way out in front.

Not sure how well all that logic holds up in real world application but that was my initial thoughts.

Ford usually takes their sweet time in updating their Ford Performance catalogs and websites.

I'm pretty sure the Megazilla is N A, but they did announce a supercharged version early last year which was 'supposed' to be available late 2025. That version was listed with 850 HP and a $34k price tag at that time.

I am a little confused now looking over the ford webiste you had linked.
None of those HP numbers match up to what Juicy had mentioned yesterday.
It was 500hp or 650hp.
The Ford website was only showing 430 hp on the Godzilla and the Megazilla is 612 hp in the specs on the ford website.

The more I learn the more questions I have. LOL

I suppose some of these questions will have to wait till they are fully ready to roll out the packages with hopefully all the details.

I do hope we get to see more videos and details about those 3 Godzilla powered Bronco's that are built and out in the wild.

Found this on Maxliders website today.
Same figures Juicy gave me yesterday for the stage 1 I had asked about.
Stage 3 seems to be the only Supercharged option.
I was pretty close to what I was guessing for the price tag. Near double that of the 500 hp.

It's hard to really say, but I think the 500 HP one is the standard crate 7.3L ($9k) with some Ford Performance parts for the 7.3L installed on it. In the videos it had the same low profile intake the Megazilla does.

I've also been hearing that Ford has under rated the power output of the engine and it actually has been making 30+ hp more than what it's rated at, on dyno pulls.

I have not read through that Bronco thread entirely, but learned a couple things I found interesting, and curious if the RR kit would not come out a little cheaper.

Seems they put a RR transfer case in the Bronco when they do these swaps, as well as they mentioned in the video I linked earlier they also source and install the electronic gear shifter out of our RRs. I would sort if thing staring either a RR which already has those items, that it would have to be a little less then the Bronco conversions ????

Also in that thread they claim only 135lb weight difference.

How much does the Godzilla weigh vs. the 3.0L?

3.0L weighs 445 lbs
Godzilla 7.3L weighs 580 lbs (135 lbs more than the 3.0)
