TLDR: I suspect the RA Ranger Parking Brake Module is incompatible with keyed ignitions. Please correct me if I’m wrong (I hope I am).

I installed the start-stop eliminator and auto-parking brake modules that I ordered from RA Ranger today.

The start-stop module works perfectly; however, I could not get parking brake module to work.

I tried the parking brake module by itself - no dice. Then tried both daisy-chain combinations with the start-stop eliminator.

There does not appear to be any damage to the chip, I triple checked the connections, and it lights up when plugged in. Haven’t removed the seal yet - wanted to do a sanity check in the forums and reach out to RA Ranger first.

The only common denominator in my initial online search is that all of the vehicles have a push-button ignition.

I use it with my keyed ignition XLT no problem. Daisy chained with auto start eliminator as well.

I start the ignition, press gas pedal and parking brake disengages. I turn off the ignition and the parking brake engages.

You may have a faulty module. Contact RARanger

Anyone know if the RA Ranger auto brake will plug and play with the 4D tech stop start eliminator?

Awesome!! Thank you so much for the heads up
Did you end up getting the Brake Module to work? I plugged mine in and didn't have success. I haven't revisited it yet, but took it out since I was not having any success. I do have the 4dTech start top module installed and working great. BTW 2025 Lariat w/ push-button start.

I just installed the RA auto parking brake module on my 2025 XLT and what I noticed is the sound of the brake engaging and disengaging is very faint, I can barely hear it but when I engage and disengage using the console lever it is very obvious. Anyone else notice this?

I’m still waiting for my replacement board from RA Ranger - the first one was defective. Will let you know if it’s the same for me

Does the console show the brake is engaged?

When I start the truck the Brake light illuminates on the instrument cluster briefly then goes out. Is there some sort of indication on the console?

Nope, lol, meant to say instrument cluster. I’m trying to troubleshoot the original board and that’s a useful datapoint.

it’s weird though, I can’t think of any reason why your parking brake would engage differently with the module vs manual activation.

Update Mine is not working. I just went out there and tried it in neutral, I shut the key off with the transmission in neutral. Then I got out and tried to push the truck, it rolled easily. Then I turned the key on, the brake light came on then went off. So all the RA device is doing is turning the brake light on and off, it is not setting the brake. The faint noise I heard was not the brake, it was something under the hood. I just went to the web site and sent them a message.

I noticed the 3 people on this thread who are having trouble are all 2025s and the ones who aren't are 2024s.
