What power output do you expect to achieve with the V8 engine?
500hp
‘There is pkgs that included supercharging that can push up to an estimated 1000 hp.
‘I am mainly just wanting the v8.
I could easily go with aftermarket tuning to get to 500hp. But for me it’s all about wanting a v8 under the hood.

The stock 400hp or Ford tuned 450 hp is actually plenty of power for my needs, just want the sound, feel and soul , that only a V8 can provide.

My wife and I are thinking of getting Rocklear as well if we keep our 24's, if not on our 28's. We were wondering if it has a cloudy haze to it. Can you get us some pictures in the sun and different angles? Would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not trying to hijack the thread either.
Good question. Please see the Dragon Auto channel as they have lots of videos about the process. That's where it was done.

I've included photo's of of my truck at different angles days after getting it done.

Would be good to understand the process. If you get more than one layer of rocklear, which is normally done on hood, roof. (I got two layers on each and 1 layer around the rest) After the first layer dries, they polish the area that gets two layers and that turns it hazy/cloudy so they apply the second layer on the areas that get two coats, which brings the amazing shine that Rocklear has. So it should not be cloudy at all!

The car cleans up easy. You dont have to wax it but the best part is you can fix chips, scratches like any other clear coat. low grit to high grit, buf, polish. etc.. and wax if you so desire

Here are some photos.

Looks sweet !

I had a stone chip on my wife's fixed at a place that does Rocklear and we have been contemplating on getting it done this summer if we don't get new ones.

Thank you my friend !!!

Nothing wrong with that ! Nothing can replicate the rhythm of v8......!!!

I'm jealous.....

At my home town tint shop today.
Been using this shop since 1986.

It’s about a 2 hr drive each way .
So the black RR will have had its first tank of fuel put through it by the time I get it back home this evening.

Just wish this trip were break in miles on the Godzilla and not stock 6 banger.

Will post some new pics tonight of the tinted windows.

Tint done.
First time doing really dark tint in probably 30 years or more.

As a Member of the old fart club now, with old eyes , I can’t see shhhht out the side windows. Lol 😝
Looks cool though. Lol 😂

Thank god for the surround view camera system.
‘Had to 100% trust in the cameras and screen view backing it back into the garage when I got home. It will be a little better in a day or two when it’s safe to roll the windows down so I can see the mirrors. lol 😆

Looks good! Driving at night aint that bad as long as you just double check when it harder to see. What tint % did you do in front/back? I did ~ 3-5% in back windows and 15% up front.

FYI for all: 15% applied to factor tint makes it ~ 3-5%.

I know the front is 5 %, I am not 100% sure exactly which was used on the rear to get it to match.
I am thinking we went with a 20% on top of the factory tint to get it match.

They had a 10% but it was not in the film I wanted, so I went with the 5%.

Normally I just 20% on the front two windows and call it good.

Hey cc1999, sorry to go off track here, but I was just wondering. Do you have the infamous paint chip above your left rear taillight, like most ? We have 2 white ranger raptors and I'm not happy with the paint chip on them. Especially seeing how I paid a slight premium for them. If you do have them and are not happy with them. What did you do about it?

We planned on keeping them long term.

I can’t say I have ever noticed any scratches by the taillight .
I will try and remember to look at my two white RRs tonight,

Do you happen to have a pic you could post of where I need to look.

Looks good sir! You did not have any cleats installed so you can strap things to the top? You can always buy them and install them yourself. Pretty easy.

Thanks!

Nah,
There really won’t ever be a need for that . Not for me anyway,

I have much bigger trucks and trailers if and whenever I have a need to haul something that won’t fit inside the bed .
