🚗💨 Exciting news! @DirtDerrick's Snow White is back on the dyno! This time, we had Matt @turbobay upgrad the off the shelf Garrett PowerMax turbos compressor to a bit bigger than the standard Power Max, but smaller than the previous setup that hit an 715 rwhp.

Our mission? To regain some spool and boost that torque figure. And guess what? We’ve hit the target with a fantastic 710 rwhp and 714 ft-lbs on an E85 tune (with E75 in the tank)! We also tested with 93 octane (E10) and saw a solid output of 552 rwhp and 619 ft-lbs.

Stay tuned for a full breakdown on our YouTube channel, where we'll discuss the upgrades and the compression of this turbo to the larger turbo setup!

Quick comparison to the old turbos. I'll explain more in the video! But you can see we lost some of that hp above 6000 but gained 1000 rpm in spool and usable torque not to mention the extra 100 ft-lbs!

Got in from Nostrum around 9am this morning. After a few hours sleep, I was able to drive the truck for a few hours.

So far the only negative is finding an all-terrain tire that will hook up better for daily hwy driving.

I pulled out onto the highway, from a side road, heading in for the night. A car stared approaching rapidly. I was only running around 25mph, so I rolled into the throttle to get outta the way. Well, after roasting the factory k03's in 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, I let out so I could hook up and save a few dollars in rubber. After that, I switched to normal mode (feels like factory, with just more power) and cruised on home. I was in ZFG track mode, 2nd gear (around 20ish mph), advance track off, the spinning was my fault.
I'm for sure going to have to get used to the 40 more ft lbs of tq than we made in the gray one.

It is for sure the most fun I've had with my clothes on! Thank you ZFG, Nostrum, and Suncoast for putting up with me. We've been through 2 years now of ups and downs while testing/developing for these trucks. Thank you Ranger6g, for putting up with me too! I really appreciate the community!

Nathan, you did it again. I gotta have more power. This is a lot better torque curve than previous Turbobay upgrade. What is the turn-around time for a Powermax upgrade on my turbos.

message me, we try to keep 4-5 sets going at a time. Most go to other countries (lotta powerful builds happening). And the others went off the chart pulling. Adam kept the tq low so it wouldn't damage the transmission. We don't know what the other set will make on tq. You're right, it won't be as much. But if it's 750rwhp/650tq.......that still ain't to shabby. The others were purpose built for mid to top end.

Good write up on intakes BTW. I've been buried trying to wrap these up and haven't gotten to respond.

This is amazing work guys our community is so lucky to have you

FYI @ZFGRACING I ordered the same turbos so you're gonna have to do me soon too (on 94 octane not ethanol)

I've got this turbo setup installed in my truck with the stock fuel system, and it is a huge improvement over stock. I'd say it's only slightly lazier than the stock spool at the very bottom of the rev range, but it's overall better everywhere else.

Still going through the tuning with Adam thanks to not having a dry day here in louisiana for coming up on a week now

That reminds me is really need to over lay this turbo over the stock. I really don't think much was lost spool wise maybe a few hundred rpm if that which is impressive for a turbo that can support an extra 200hp worth of air.

I'd love to see that comparison! And I agree, not much at all was lost. I wouldn't have noticed it at all if I went from stock tune straight to the new turbos and e50
