If you have added fender flares, which ones did you add and what is your wheel width/ offset? Bonus points for pics.

I want to run flares to keep the truck cleaner but I feel like they’d look goofy with the minimal poke of 8.5 +35 wheels. Show and tell me I’m wrong!

Sorry to bump an old thread, but I figured it might help anyone with similar questions. I have the Bushwacker fender flares (the ones Ford sells as an accessory) and I'm running Bronco Everglades wheels, a 30mm offset, with 1.2'' Borne hubcentric wheel spacers. I've attached some pictures of the stock wheels with the flares, the Everglades with no spacers with the flares, and the Everglades wheels with spacers with the flares. With the spacers and the offset from the Everglades wheels, the wheels are about flush with the flares. Without the spacers they were still tucked into the flares somewhat. The picture of the whole truck I included was with the Everglades wheels with no spacers and prior to installing the Eibach level. I was running the flares on the stock wheels and tires for awhile and I will admit it looked pretty goofy before I was able to get the new wheels and tires mounted.

I assume your truck didn't have the fender mounted parking sensors? If it did, did you relocate them to the flares? I'm probably going to embark on this project this weekend (I do have the parking sensors and will have to relocate them). Ive got the Husky RVL flares and have been meaning to get them installed, but its going to be a more involved job.

Yours look good.

Thank you! I do not have the front or fender mounted sensors so no relocation work was necessary. I did find a couple of threads on an F150 forum saying relocating them to the flares is doable. One poster mentioned they also tried simply covering the sensors and did not get any errors so it could be possible to leave them covered and relocate at a later date?

The only thing I didn't do prior to installing the flares which I wish I would have is putting down some PPF or clear 3M tape down where the fender flare meets the paint. Everything I've read from people who have put fender flares on any other vehicle seems to point to the fact the flare will, over time, chew up the paint where it's attached. I might take them off and attempt to do any paint correction necessary and then add some PPF prior to reinstalling them, or I might just ignore it and hope for the best haha.

The ones I bought have a rubber or foam piece that goes between the body and the fender. Does yours have that? Hoping that prevents rubbing, but thats a useful pointer.

Mine also have a rubber strip that follows the edge of the flare against the body. I haven't tried to pull the flare away from the body to see if there is any paint damage as they sit pretty tight against the body, but from what I've read the rubber strip can still damage the paint or trap small amounts of dirt/debris which over time will rub at the paint. I don't plan on ever removing the flares due to the fact my wheels would stick out past the fenders without them, but it's possible that any damaged paint could exacerbate rust which might eventually become an issue even if it's hidden by the flare.

That actually looks pretty good.

So between the Bronco wheels and the spacers you're basically running a zero offset? Is my math right?

What size tires are those?

Thank you! I have to be honest I'm no expert when it comes to the exact calculations for offset. I just kind of eyeballed it when deciding on the 1.2'' spacers as I wanted to be the tire to be about flush with the edge of the flare. I remember looking at a thread about mounting 1'' spacers on a RR and I kind of based my guess off of that. I attached a picture of the wheels with the spacers installed as well. It's still tucked under the flare a little but not much.

The tires are 265/70r17 Falken Wildpeaks. I wish I had just gone ahead and ordered bigger tires when I switched the wheels out, but at that time I wasn't planning on leveling the truck and from what I read the 265/70 was about as big as you could fit without rubbing even with a little bit of additional offset. Even so, the tires still rubbed on the fender liner occasionally prior to leveling the truck, but it only ever seemed to be when reversing with the wheel fully locked to the right.

I like it. I was thinking those were probably 265 tires. With the flares a 285 might “look” a little better but honestly I think you did good.

And if my math is right, you should be pretty close to a 0 offset there.

I definitely don't need the bigger tires, but I also think they would fill the wheel wells out even better. Maybe I'll spring for them once I wear these ones out.

Those Everglades wheels look sick. I've been wanting to see those on a Ranger for a while.

Everyone selling them near me has them priced like a crackhead and won't negotiate.
Thank you! I was also looking for someone who had put them on a Ranger before purchasing them but did not have any luck.

I definitely should have waited to buy them from somewhere like FB marketplace. I'm not sure which Bronco trims Ford puts those wheels on now, but I know it's more than one unlike it was when they were only on the Everglades. I tried finding a set of take-off wheels before I ordered them but no luck on that front. A quick search now and I found 2 sets somewhat local to me for much cheaper than buying them new.

I just bought some door edge ppf tape (0.5") that Im going to run where the flare meets the body. I figure I can mark the edge of the flare with a grease pencil when I test fit and then apply the tape inside that mark so that its covered when the flare is installed. Thanks for the tip.

I’ve been looking into those as well. I have the Sasquatch wheels but those Everglades look sharp on the Ranger
