Saw this in passing on instagram one day and loved the concept right away. so i did the mod when i found a factory light. You can buy them on Ebay for anywhere between $250-400. Only takes a little wiring and run a wire. Absolutely love the mod especially on my white truck. The factory Ranger 3rd brake light is 3 wires. White, blue and orange. The light i got is from a 2019 F150 raptor and the plug has a 3 pin plug. I cut it off and then just matched up white to white, blue to blue and orange to orange. Then the 4th wire needs to be run to a power source that comes on with the parking lights/headlights so it functions with the 3 running lights on the brake light. I ran mine to the rear drivers side tail light by going down the back pillar by the rear door, behind the seat there is a round plug. poked a hole in it and ran it through, down and back to the tail light. Ziptied it and made sure it didn't interfere with any suspension or moving parts. Tapped into the wire pictured below. i ran a 2 conductor shielded wire and that left me with an extra wire if i ever need to tap an extra running light wire for any other reason then its already run. i used self soldering and waterproof butt splices.

Pretty sweet, always liked the F-150 raptor 3rd brake lights. I'm wanting to figure out how to get a side marker rear light done like the big raptors have.

The red lights? Ive got something in the works for that too. Hardest part it mount it in the lower bed corner plastic piece, bumper or right under the tail light but that would require drilling the painted box. Current im thinking in the bumper. In my state they use salt so I have to be conscious of that

Yeah id like to avoid drilling into the bed side myself, I haven't made my way to the back yet. Currently working on a fog light kit 3D model to replace the factory fogs with a couple of baja's on each side.

i'll be sure to post once i figure out what i want to do with the red marker lights. i'm struggling with a solution to avoid drilling the body. I'd be fine drilling the bumper as its already paper thin. I'll just have to do well with sealing the bare metal.

This alone would be great for foggy mornings where I'm at.

so, if the light itself fits the ranger without any modifications, just adding the parking light voltage, any aftermarket Raptor F-150 3rd brake light would do as well. Asking for me.

Yes that seems to be a fair assumption. It literally bolted right in. Same footprint and even the roof curve is the same. No modification at all when mounting the light

This idea will cost me.
Looking at a few pieces from Morimoto and Recon.

I did the same thing on my 2019 Ranger I had. I loved the way it looked. I ended up running the wire inside the cab across the headliner and brought it down the driver a-pillar and tagged the parking light fuse behind the dash in that ‘19. I’ve been wanting to do the same thing with my ‘25. But man those things have gone up, when I bought it for my ‘19 it was like $115 from the dealer. Now they’re like $380. 😂 OEM part number is HL3Z-13A613-D for anyone interested.

I got a low mileage used one for $165 and that was a deal compared to new. Dealership wants $400+
