2026+ bed capping design changes if looking for a Cap

I recently purchased an aluminum bed cap and it seems that starting in 2026, the bed cap has been lowered by approx. 11mm. So if you purchase a cap for 2024-2025 ranger, might have to add extra thick weather stripping to make up the difference.

my 2026 with the 2025 cap installed, isn't really that noticeable TBH

Yeah, I decided to put my tonneau cover for sale and it was only listed to be compatible with the 2026 ranger as well

24-25 are generally the same fitment and then 26 is a separate fitment on most covers.

Based on your experience so far, does the design change for 26 result in any difference one way or the other in the weather sealing performance of any of your products? I have a Revolver X4S on the way.

If I understand your question properly the difference between the covers is how it clamps to the bed as the bed caps changed between 24-25 and the 26. The weather protection will be the same but the mounting is slightly different.

I purchased an Undercover Ultra Flex Hard Folding Tonneau Cover from someone locally who had it installed on a 25.
Only until after purchasing and failing to install properly I did research and found out the 2026 bed caps are different.
would it be possible to purchase new clamps from you to get the cover to work on my truck?
I tried posting the cover for sale but haven’t had any luck yet. Hoping I can purchase new clamps or any other parts I would need to make it work.

You understood it right. I was hoping that Ford's design change resulted in even better weather sealing, but it's great to hear that there was no regression.

Not sure how expensive it would be, but I would think the 25 plastic bed cap parts would snap in in place of the 26 pieces

Now that I know about the diffences in bed caps. I do prefer the slimmer design on the 26.
But If I can’t get new hardware I will look into this idea further.
