Have you called the dealership to ask the status? Or maybe call Ford customer service directly. I'm hopeful yours is built and on a train or semi headed your way! Stay optimistic.

I’m waiting for 2025. See if any color options appeal plus the mentioned black out package, hopefully Ford allows it with FX4. Still debating a F-150 used. Some Lariats near me with very low miles around 47 to 50k. I can wait and I will. Would love a new Ranger but economics will determine best value. 👍
I left $1k deposit. I'm hoping to get it back and get a 2025 from a dealer with a larger allocation. Thanks for the affirmation.

Ok, everyone. I finally drove the Ranger 2.7L (first one delivered in AZ) yesterday and here is my honest review.

First, I could definitely tell the difference at slow speeds as I navigated the dealership parking lot. It felt a little heavier and the pedal felt more connected to the motor. I pulled out of the parking lot with confidence and pleasantly surprised to feel the torque. I babied it until I felt more comfortable with the salesperson to really get on it. Then, I caught the next light and waited for green. I punched it and let those twin turbos spool up and it took off with a grunt and some wheel spin. While I expected it to pull a little harder (compared to my Bronco 2.7L), it felt less powered and not as quick for some reason--I can't imagine that Ford under-powered the Ranger's 2.7? FYI, I drove a 2.3 a few hours before so that I had a fair comparison. Based on my 7 mile test drive, I was not as impressed as I expected to be. I came to the conclusion that the 2.3 feels a little more spirited and you notice the less engine weight in the steering. All in all, I am not convinced (from this short test drive) that the Ranger 2.7L has the same grunt as the Bronco. Perhaps its that I've been using premium fuel, or that my Bronco is a 2 door, or that it now has 23k miles? Perhaps it was the FX4 relative to the 2.3 STX trim?

Overall, I still like the feel and sound of the V-6, as well as the advantages of port/direct injection, but I am not convinced that the 2.7L is that much more powerful in the Ranger. I recall they tuned it down for the Ranger (compared to the F150). Again, this is from a 7 mile test drive in mixed city/rural driving. I would advise you all to test drive both to make up your minds. Sorry I can't say more about the 2.7L experience.

Ranger on!

Once the car magazines get a hold of it and provide their test results, we will have a better picture on performance comparisons.
The idea of buying a car off the lot not knowing how many test jockeys had their way with it is one reason why I factory order my vehicles 😱

I agree and was extra careful not to beat up on it, out of respect for the new yet to be determined owner.

I don’t think any 2.7s have been delivered as of yet. I believe a lot of the 2.7s have started getting built this week or with in the last week or two.
I received my 2.7 on 9/4, order confirmed on June 12. I was very impressed with the power of the 2.3 but every now and then I pull a heavy trailer, so I went for the 2.7. Pretty big difference, It will give my 08 Bullitt a run for the money.

After 62 weeks of waiting the v6 is here, it arrived Monday. I've really enjoyed this forum: while waiting the first 40 weeks for the i4, and 2 weeks after receiving it, finding out the v6 could be ordered and then the 20 weeks waiting for it. The i4 is on the left in the photo and v6 on the right. Left the i4 with the dealer (perfect condition with 1500 miles) and happy with what I have, planning to keep it a very longtime. As I mentioned earlier in this thread, I may be crazy, but this is exactly the truck I wanted and that's a first.

I am in a good position and can wait so I will get an answer to the same question that you have. Hard to determine if the price for the 2.7 is worth it without experiencing it. My guess the extra horsepower and torque will be worth it, but I don't know what I don't know. My son has a 2.7 in his F-150 that runs very nice, and I know it's a very reliable motor as is the 2.3. Just wish they would have pushed the 2.3 to 300 horses, that would make the decision a no brainer. My purchase will probably be a 25 and I am fine with that.
You can get a the ford tune that will make it 310 if i remember right
