Been considering the S&B CAI and now looking at the K&N. Now that I have the Ford Performance tune installed, Borla duals to expel the exhaust, it's time to look at the intake side of this motor. Specifically, I am looking for y'all who have the M-9603-REB27 Procal4 tune installed and given the time for adaptive learning to produce real time results and then added a cold air intake system. What improvements did you experience, if any, by adding the CAI after the Ford Performance tune?

I have the tune and an Intake but I put the bolt-on in first. If by results you mean verifiable from a dyno tune I will not be doing that. Runs great with more power and smoother shifting at all rpms though.

Thanks for the response Andrew. I agree with NO dyno. The feel of the vehicle is more important than numbers.

Hey again Andrew. Assuming you bolted on the K&N CAI, can you post a picture of it? The K&N installation diagrams show the air box open under the hood which kinda defeats the design of bringing in cold air. I've asked K&N for clarification, but they must be busy :)

Are these completely open on top? Because they look like they're completely open on top...

So far i am not that impressed with the procal calibration on my 2.7
It has about 100 miles on it since the tune.
It definitely shifts better but thats all i notice
