If you have a 2.7L Ranger on order and are interested in tracking production schedules, read on.
This is just for our information only. By tracking 2.7L production schedules, those of us waiting for our units can follow time frames and spot production slowdowns when they occur.
To the best of my knowledge (and it wouldn't be the first time I was wrong), the 2.7's are to begin production the week of 8/5, about two weeks from now. If you have been notified by email from Ford (not your dealer) of your production week, or are tracking production on the Ford Vehicle Tracking Web Site, send a post with that date. Then, as you are notified, post the "in Production", "Built" and "Shipped" dates. No need to post Delivery dates as they are a pure wild card and will vary depending on the distance your dealer is from the rail yard, how many stops the truck carrier makes, the phases of the moon and how high the tide rises!
Again, participate if you want. No complaints (plenty of other sites for that).
