My truck has officially qualified for buyback. Question for the forum, I own a procal tuner and wondering if It is removed from the truck can it be sold? I also have other items to sell from the truck, I will post pictures once I can get the truck back from the dealership service and or can get the items removed. I have tow hook covers, catch can, behind the grill 30” light bar and aluminum bed cover.

The device can be sold but the tune itself (most all the value) is married to the truck that is being bought back. Seems like the tuner itself is worth around $100.

Can you explain why Ford is buying back your truck?
I’ve had numerous issues with the truck, paint chipping above the taillight(Was repaired but started doing it again and still at the shop for this one)cam phasers at 1300 miles, GPS antenna broke a bolt and spider pins and started leaking rain water in the truck(replaced the antenna and headliner. Has been at the shop for over 90 days, only have 2600 miles on it and it was bought in July. I’m going to stay with Ford but go back to a F150, I like the truck but I have no trust in it at this point.

If the procal tune has been installed on the truck then it can not be used on any other truck.

I take it that the Pro-cal tunes operate different than tunes on a Cobb AP then? On that platform, you unmarry the AP device from the car which puts the stock tune back on. Once that has been done, the AP can be used on another vehicle. So yes, with the tune installed, they can only be used on one vehicle at a time. But for this threads purposes, you can’t unmarry the tuner, which then removes the tune from the truck and it would be available to install on another truck?

GM bought back my lemon Canyon pickup. They paid for genuine GM parts and my Realtruck tonneau and aftermarket rust proofing. You must provide receipts for everything. I believe the Ford tuner should be reimbursed.

I've used Cobb and it is different. The FP tune is locked to the VIN.

I believe that every states lemon law has a different requirement on aftermarket equipment, for Louisiana they are not required to do so.

They didn’t have to reimburse for anything not genuine GM parts. But they did anyway.
