2026 Ford Ranger Tonneau Covers Coming Soon

Hey Ford Ranger crew, quick update from RealTruck.

We’ve been getting a lot of questions about tonneau covers for the 2026 Ranger, so I wanted to give you guys a quick heads-up on where things stand.

The bed rail caps on the 2026 Rangers are slightly different from the 2024–2025 trucks, which meant manufacturers had to make some small design tweaks to the mounting systems. Because of that, several covers needed slight redesigns before they could be released.

The good news: they’re almost ready.

We’re expecting the first wave of 2026 Ranger-specific tonneau covers to start launching on the site in the next few weeks.

You’ll start seeing options from brands like:

• BAK Industries
• TruXedo
• Retrax
• UnderCover
• Gator

Hard folding, hard rolling, retractable, soft roll-ups — the usual lineup once everything finishes final fitment testing.

One other interesting update for the 2026 Ranger:

Because of Ford’s changes to the bed rails, the truck will be able to support racks without needing a reinforcement kit like earlier Rangers required.

That means if you choose a cover with integrated T-slots, you’ll be able to run racks like the Elevate Rack System or Elevate Base Rack, along with other rack systems designed to work with integrated T-slot rails.

picking up my 26 RR tomorrow - so far going off of pictures alone, loving the look of the Kuat IBEX rack so looking for a tonneau cover that will support it. any tips would be appreciated if you have any experience with that setup

Does anyone know of a good place to sell my Retrax XR one Manual cover off of my 2025 Ranger. It is being repurchased by Ford under lemon law and the replacement I identified already has the Ford Branded version on the truck as a factory option. Ford is obviously not compensating me for it so I am looking to sell it.

This statement in your AD is not true. There was only a small number of early builds that had this issue and the bed was redesigned shortly thereafter. The 2025 beds were fine; my early build already had the fix.

seems all the retrax stuff is weeks out, not actually in stock like your website would imply. you don't actually find that out unless you chat with someone though..
